  1. Hi everyone, I've recently resurrected my Youtube channel with a bunch of bass related videos. I'd love to know what you think of it and any requests or suggestions for more videos. https://youtube.com/channel/UC30LgjDONyKXPQyqpRX92lA Cheers, Alex
  2. SOLD Hi, Up for sale is my Sadowsky Metro Express (Made in Japan) RV4 Jazz bass in Olympic white. Originally bought from guitarguitar a couple of years ago. It is in excellent condition - as you can see in the photos below. I'm selling as my MV5 covers all my jazz bass needs and I would like to get something a little different. If you are familiar with Sadowsky's you'll already know that they are very easy to play, lightweight and sound incredible and this one is no exception. I'll be sad to see it go but it's not getting used enough to warrant keeping it. Comes with the offical semi-hard case. I'm looking for £1500. Bass is currently strung with DR rounds, here's a couple of clips of the bass in action: With rounds: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fsgyyTFKN-Y With flats: https://www.instagram.com/p/CCNq0OiHxjs/ Weight: 3.7kg Spec: Body Solid Alder Fingerboard Morado Frets 21 Nut Sadowsky Just-A-Nut III Pickups Sadowsky set Controls Volume, pickup blend, treble roll-off (VTC) with pre-amp bypass, bass boost, treble boost Bridge Sadowsky bridge with quick string release Tuners Sadowsky Light machine heads with open gear
  3. Sereks do seem to be quite popular too, I quite like the look of the short scale 5 strings.
  4. I feared that this would be the case! Going to have to make the trip to test one out sometime soon.
  5. I've got serious G.A.S for a Wilcock Mullarkey: https://www.wilcocklondon.com/the-mullarkey?gclid=EAIaIQobChMI6OnLhIeo6wIVBc93Ch0hSgjJEAAYASADEgL4DvD_BwE Does any one own one? What do you think?
  6. Daddario helicore pizz medium gauge strings. Great growly sounding string, couple of months of light use so lots of life left in them. £70 including postage. sold
  7. Gut-a-like slappers delight - these strings are a lot of fun to play. Light use. Great if you fancy trying out some slap playing on a budget. £30 including postage to the UK. sold
  8. I wanted more of a 50's P look and the original white one wasn't doing it for me so I swapped it out.
  9. Hey everyone, Here's my take on 'Blues for Jimmy Yancey' by Colin Hodgkinson. It was a lot of fun to learn, hope you enjoy! Alex
  10. Really nice Tube DI box, works great for bass and pretty much any other instrument. It's not getting any use so it's time to move it on. Sounds great and also has a lot of practical features: 12AX7 tube drive and class-A front end Dual inputs with separate gain & remote switching Drag control load correction for optimal tone Variable output connects directly to a PA Everything works and sounds as it should, the previous owner put electrical tape on the power supply where presumably it has come loose (you can see in the pictures below). It is fully functioning but I believe radial also do sell replacement power supplies if that was ever required. Sold
  11. I’d rather sell it on here, if it doesn’t go by the end of today I think I’ll try eBay.
  12. Final drop £27.50
  13. Thanks for all the comments, I can’t believe this hasn’t sold already!
  14. I forgot to mention that the body is slightly thicker than you might expect. I assume this is to do with it being chambered. Hopefully the picture below will help to clarify. Also in case you didn't spot it the very thin purple line between the top wood and the body is a whole other type of wood!
  15. It's pretty special! This will be up for another week before it goes to a shop to be sold.
  16. Gone to bass direct to be sold! Up for sale is this stunning MTD535 ‘Marilyn’. Amazing playability and a killer sound (the B string is immense) but the reality is that it’s just not getting used so it needs to go to a good home. Here are some of the specs, which can also be seen in the official letter below. - Wenge neck with birds eye maple fingerboard. - Chambered alder body with a claro walnut top. - Buzz Feiten tuning system (for more accurate intonation) - 35 inch scale 21 fret - Bartolini pick ups and preamp - Weight: (according to my scales approx 9.5lbs) - 19m string spacing It also comes with the official case. The bass is in excellent condition and has been professionally set up last year. In the interest of transparency I have included some close up pictures of a couple of small marks on the bottom of the body. These obviously cannot be seen when playing the bass!
