1. I reckon I could make good use of these. PM sent.
2.
British Audio Service is the place for Trace spares, though you might be better off looking for non original pats that don't look out off place. As for specs - http://www.gbaudio.co.uk/data/te1115.htm Trace usually put dates on the PCBs. Edit: Oh, and you'll probably find the graphic and EQ switches are pretty flakey if they work at all.
Thanks for the info, much appreciated. Actually the EQ switches & graphic seems to work fine (so far), Let's hope it stays that way.
3. Hi all, As part of my recent GAS attack I picked up a tatty Trace Elliot GP11 MKV, and I'm very happy with it. I'd like to tidy it up a bit, and also know more about it. So, to start with the tidying. The gain & volume knobs look tatty, the GEQ white caps are all missing, and the switches for "Graphic Equalisation" and "Middle Cut Pre-Shaping" are missing there caps. Is there a place where I can get these (for reasonable cost)?. Next, the case it is unsurprisingly tatty. Is the original covering material available? I'd also like to know when it was made, what power the output stage is, and anything specific I should be servicing whilst I'm looking at it. The serial number reads H5383, and the model number is 1115.
4. I bought Nik's SWR 2x10. He was truly great to deal with, flexible, helpful, reasonable and it was just a pleasure. Thanks Nik, really appreciate it all.
5. Thanks, it was the depth that I meant. Sadly too small for my PA amps.
6. Hi, This may be of use for my PA. How deep is the sleeve? Ta
7.
Interested in the Tele pups if you decide on a price.
Hi, Sorry to be slow replying, working too hard I would like 45 quid for the bridge and 40 pounds for the neck, or 80 pounds for the pair. How does that sound?
8. Gosh, that looks really nice. Great refinish. I suspect that it may be MIJ too, I used to have an eighties Strat that had very similar logo to that, it was really high quality & I should never have sold it.
9. Again to fund my new Bass obsession, I'm clearing through some gear. Here I have some guitar pickups. For Telecaster: Harmonic Design Super90 bridge, this is a custom version that has a low output tap in addition to the normal full power output. Great condition, and I have a schematic to show how to wire the tap into a 4-way switch. Harmonic Design Vintage Plus neck, black cover, really good condition. For Jazzmaster Seymour Duncan Antiquity II bridge Vintage Vibe neck, this is a P90 thing, dark and lots of power I'm not to sure on prices, I'll have a think and post some shortly.
10. Hi all, To fund my bass GAS, I have a few surplus guitar pedals for sale: Paul Cochrane Timmy, this is a great overdrive, and this one is basically new, boxed with instruction sheet, 180 UKP (this one is in Bristol with my missus if you want to try it) Okko Diablo, looks like new, works great, 150€ GGG Bobble Distortion, this is a boutique Big Muff made by JD Sleep of GGG, this one is number 8, and I don't think he made many, it's signed by JD. It's really nasty & aggressive Big Muff tone, but better than a BM and in a smaller box. Great for long sustaining violin tones. 100€ Boss GE7, MIJ with Sniper mod and runs on 9V, very well used, but works just fine and it's quiet 85€ FoxRox Hot Silicon, in really good condition with box & instruction sheet Tech 21 Character series Blonde, complete with "tin" and instructions, like new (only a few weeks old), but has a very small paint chip on the corner 135€ I'm in Europe and will ship most places, but it can be expensive so all prices plus P&P. The Timmy is in the UK, so shipping will be a lot cheaper for you guys. I can take PayPal or bank transfer, and Euros or UK pounds are fine too.
11. Thanks guys, I'm on the case now. Hopefully should have a rig sorted this week Your help is greatly appreciated.
12. Do tell more. Any idea of the specs (active/passive, where made...)
13. Thanks for the welcome, I look forward to hanging here, looks like there is plenty to learn, it should keep me busy for a few years
14. Just a bit more info. I also have a guitar 2x12 cab (like a smaller 4x12), it's not used these days. Would it be worthwhile to get some different drivers, that are suitable for bass, and to use this for bass playing?
15.
What is your budget?
I'd like to get a head & cab for 250, but I can go higher if needed (maybe 400).
