1. With Christmas coming up, what one bass related item would you have on your wish list. Money is no object. I'll make a start .... Aguilar DB 810 with DB 751 head

5. Is there much involved in swopping the pup around? Im guessing as soon as I take off the s/p i'll be able to work it out? Also if I find that this is the problem, could I litterally swop the two pups around so the dud is on the D string as I don't use it so much (obviously would be a temp mesaure until I can get some new pups). Thanks again!
6. Ill have a go when I get back from work at 5. I hope that it isn't the pickups! Im using Daddario Pro Steels
7. OK, so I've had a play, acoustically and it sounds spot on, looking at how the nut had been cut, it is slightly lower than the rest of the strings but then the string is thicker ... Im using Dadario pro steels so pretty damn bright. Im wondering if a badass will solve my problems?
8. I'm at work at the moment, I'll have a listen later to see if its different acoustically. It's really annoying me as to get good tone on the E string in having the crank up the presence on the sansamp wich is making D and G strings really twangy and horrible sounding, so having to comprimise at the moment :/ Thanks for the replys so far though. Martin
9. Does anyone have a clue why my E string would sound dull and muddy in comparison with all the other strings on my bass even with new strings on? I have tried adjusting the pickup height but that doesn't seem to work? I usually have the E string dropped to D but I still have the problem even in E? Any help would be great!
10. Long shot ... Does anyone fancy swopping their Aggie Tone Hammer for my Sansamp BDDI for a week or so? Wonna check out an Aguilar tone hammer with my rig to hear the difference. There might be someone out there who wants to check out a sansamp BDDI with their rig? PM me if you're interested!
11. A, I've just had corned beef hash style BUMP
12. Hi all, Just testing the water here to see if I get any interest. Im thinking of selling my SVT450H as I'm GASS'ing for a tube head. Its MINT as new condition apart from the three last sliders on the EQ have snapped off but are still fully functional using your finger nail. Also it's a yank so good build quality. Thinking £375, what do you guys think? Will upload pics if any interest. (Head is in my avatar)
13.
luke_is_best Posted Yesterday, 12:45 PM - It sounds even more killer if you play through a Sansamp Bass Driver DI pedal too. Just so you know.
+1 deffinatly ... .
14. Interparcel/TNT +1 From Scotland to the Midlands, 20kg head 40kg cab Just shrinkwrapped, hardly any protection. Pick up between 2.00 - 5.30 Picked up at 2.10 Delivered 10.30 next day Not a problem, one of the feet came off but that was cheap to replace and due to shoddy packaging. DHL wanted £125 I paid £82 fully insured. Great service.

17. So it might be worth waiting for another payday to maybe get something like an SVT3? Sorry if I sound stupid ... What do I need to look for in a cab, instinct tells me that a 4X10 is what I should go for ... I used to have an Ashdown EB180, and I used to put the muddy tone down to having one 15" speaker.
18. Thanks for the replys. My house mate has a line 6 combo (one of the new ones with the SVT stickers all over it), it sound's ok but then I haven't played around with the settings, might have a go later, thanks for the heads up. I've got my sansamp now, Im pretty damn impressed with it, weve got an AXL B60 (biggest piece of s**t I've played through) in the prac room, and using my MIA P Bass through the sansamp it's litterally worked a myricals with the tone, the only thing it can't handle is the top end, so if it improves the tone on the AXL I don't think I need to spend too much money on a new amp. Im basically stuck between the Ashdown EVO 3 and the Ampeg B2R ... I hate not having an decent music shops near me to test out this stuff.
19. Just completed a deal with JimBobTTD, guy's sound as, once payment was made he litterally got it to the postoffice just after. Can't fault!!
20. ... being solid state, are they a world apart from SVT tone or do they still have some charactristics of classic ampeg tone? I've just bought a Sansamp BDDI off JimBob, so I'm guessing using that along side, I'll get that bit of grind/warmth? Is it a good base to build on using the Sansamp or would anyone recommend something different where I could achieve that dirty grindy tone? I'm not too fussed on weight, and have a budget of £700ish, Im open to any sort of setup, not really after anything over 300w, and mostly playing in practice with a loud band looking to gig pretty soon. Any help would be great guys, ++ Wheeeey first proper post haha. Cheers
21. Im after Ampeg gear, but do I really really need an 8x10 for practicing at home? I suppose I could convert my house into a church and use it as an alter Good luck with the sale matey.
