SOLD I have an Epifani 3x10 cab that I would like to sell for [s]£450[/s] £400 including a black padded cover. Alternatively I would be interested in a trade deal for an Aguilar DB112 cab. I don't have a photo as the cab is currently being stored at my drummer's house. Condition is excellent. Only used at my drummers place for rehearsals as it won't go in the boot of my current car so it hasn't been gigged. Would prefer buyer to arrange to collect if possible. Location: me - Derby cab - nr. Uttoxeter, Staffs

I can confirm that the board is ebony rather than rosewood. As far as I can tell the bass would have originally been manufactured as a fretted. You can still see where the original fretmarker dots on the neck edge were before the conversion to fretless was done. I always presumed that the ebony board was added at that time. The EMG P pickup was already in place when I bought it and the EMG J pickup was added by Jon Shuker around 1999 approx. Tuners look to be originals.

Just a feeler for now but I may be looking to sell my 78 Fender P fretless. (The one on the left in the photos.) Pickups are EMGs (P and J that Jon Shuker installed for me). Would be looking to get about £1300 for it but would consider offers. Not interested in any trades - I have too many basses already and need the space ! This is my 4th Sadowsky and possibly the nicest I've had. I still have the NYC sunburst one I bought used a couple of years ago and this one may be even better in terms of getting the sound I have in my head. I previously also had two metros too. One I bought new and the other used. I think the NYC ones are definitely a step up from the Metros. This one is nice and light and the neck feels just fabulous. I went for single coils and 70s spacing with a drop D tuner. Nice case too - Sadowsky Portabag. There is also something really nice about having one of the best manufacturers in the world build a bass specially for me. I was lucky enough to visit New York and try a few different Sadowskys when I was deciding what to spec to go for. The 9 month wait was a drag though! It must be good as I have considered selling everything else recently and just keeping this one!

NOW SOLD Ash body with really nice grain. Natural finish with flawless vintage amber tint. Vintage tinted maple neck with gorgeous Brazilian rosewood fingerboard. Tort guard. Neck finish is silky smooth matt finish and feels better than any other bass I have played. Pickups are Nordy Big Singles and the bass has the excellent two band Nordy pre-amp. Controls are: Master volume with push / pull for passive mode, Pickup blend, Passive tone control Stacked bass and treble boost / cut This spec would be £2700+ if ordered from new now. This is a lovely bass to play. Big sounds and very versatile. Used for a couple of gigs and sounded great in both my rock and blues band and my covers band playing lots of styles from 70's funk and 60's soul to modern pop stuff and rock classics. This bass can really do it all. Nice and light weight too. I don't have an exact weight but it would be around or just under 9lb. Comes in it's original semi hard gig bag made by Protec in silver/grey. Bought new from Bass Direct less than 2 years ago. So why the possible sale? Well I am pretty much using 4 string basses all the time at the moment and it is likely that this beautiful instrument will be getting virtually no use in the forseeable future. It may be that I am just going to admit that I'm not a 5 string bass player. So my loss will certainly be someone else's gain. Probably looking for a cash sale in the region of £1995.00

I have been a jazz bass fan since my first bass (a Squier Silver Series Jazz) and my current fave is this one. Sadowsky NYC RV4
