After over 30 years using heavy gauge strings (110-50, and more recently 120-50 balanced tension), I got a set of 100-40 today to put on my SB BnG. The bass feels even nicer to play now.
I was considering 95-35 set. But Amazon didn't have any. Not sure I'll use the 100-40s on either of the Precisions, as those basses provoke me into playing a lot harder than the SB does.
I went from 110 - 50s to 105 - 45s and as well as the bass being easier to play the presence in the mix became better, rather than just a solid low end.
