http://angela.com/li...cisionbass.aspx Imported from Angela Instruments for a bass that I sold before receive it, brand new in the box, never used. £95 + £10 shipping to any european country. Lindy Fralin Split Coil Pickup For Fender '51 P Bass Lindy's ingenious split coil design for the '51 Precision Bass features two side by side RW/RP (reverse wound/reverse magnetic polarity) coils. You get all of the primitive thump and presence of a a vintage single coil early Precision Bass pickup without the hum and noise. Fine choice for studio or stage work. Drops right into your old '51-'57 Precision Bass, '68-'69 Telecaster Bass, Custom Shop '56 Precision Bass reissue, recent Sting Bass or brand new Fender Of Japan '51 Precision Bass reissue! Simple single hot conductor/one ground output wiring; the hot lead is white, the ground is black. No tricky rewiring or lousy sounding active electronics are needed to produce robust output and great tone with low noise. Lindy tells me that he thinks this pickup sounds so good that it may make multi pickup basses obsolete! Other construction features of the Fralin Split Coil '51 Precision Bass Pickup include Alnico V magnets, black fibreboard coil forms, white waxed string wrap around the coils and cloth covered output leads. Stock wind is 6.5K.
Could you tell me what the CS-options are on this bass? Is it masterbuilt? Thx.
I ordered the Sonic Blue finish, the handwound pickups, the vintage white pickguard and the flatwound strings. I'm pretty sure is a Teambuilt so a Masterbuilt goes for almost 6k + taxes these days. Thanks.
it's beautiful. but why has it got a late 60's headstock decal?
No idea at all mate and I didn't realise that fact, I ordered the model and colour through my Fender dealer and this is what I got straight from the Custom Shop. It's of course 100% brand new, original and unmolested.

Hi Stacker. Yes, you're right, pictures are not the best, but the colour showed is quite accurate in the first ones and maybe a little less in the last shot (looks next to Daphne or Lake Placid Blue there). My camera is in automatic mode but I can't do much more with this piece of junk and my little knowledge in photography. Anyway this is Sonic Blue (Dupont Number 2295):
What's the hum like on the p single design? Also any idea of the output? I see it's unused but on the off chance you have used one. . . edit:ok silly question for someone who's selling one. Thanks anyway.
Not a silly question at all, but as stated it's in the box without use, so I don't have any idea about the perfomance, just I bought it after a extensive research thinking this is the ultimate pickup for a 50's style P-bass. Very sorry.
