If you have PM'd and not got a reply, it's because I seem to have got the forum to only allow me to reply to 1 PM per day??? Dont know if that's normal or just me being as muppet-ish as usual. Anyway, I really need cash due to a one off higher tham normal VAT bill. Tricky times. Cheers, Karl.
2.
Looks to me if I write some drivel, it will get this bump thang. I need all I can get to try to avoid robbin bay, so, HERE GOES...... BUMP?
LAST REDUCTION BEFORE E.BAY. £400 Thanks, Karl.
3. Thanks YouMa. Thought long and hard, and grateful for the offer, but a burst of realism tells me I need the cash for the vatman. Many many thanks anyway (I'm just glad you didnt mention the colour) Cheers, Karl.

5. Shamelessly lying, please have a look at my not very red jazz , under f/s Fender Jazz Special, rare '93. If interested, could be with a few sov's your way. (sorry, mines been on a few days with no interest and I am dreading robbin'bay) Anyway, I believe the phrase is "BUMP?"
6. Am I the only one to think my Japanese girl is beautiful? OK, the mobile phone pics dont help, but as she is going on that flee bay thing, I dont want her feelings hurt.
7. Hello peeps. Teaser360, that guy on flee bay with the ibanez, he had it on 2 weeks ago at starter Of £1000!!!!. Pint of what he's drinking! Duarte, you say the nicest things, cheers bud. Skankdelvar, no offence, but are you related to Satan The Sister-in-law? Cheers, Karl.
8. Thanks for that guys, all is now clear in my sharp as a lettuce brain.
9. Hello folks, tester before e.bay(which I rarely use as,erm, not keen,to say least). Need to sell a bass before VAT due end of July. God bless Cool Brittania. Photos from crap mobile phone, but get the gist. '93 (O 06***6) MIJ Jazz, rare transluscent cherry red,(including back of neck and headstock) golden hardware/fittings.Believe pick ups to be Japanese vintage Jazz. Very good condition, 3 little dings on back of headstock.Slight dead spot, frets 15/16 D string. Padded gigbag included. Bought it decade ago, original owner brought it back from Japan(he worked for Shell).Told me it was one of a special run made for none export, Japanese retailers. Further reseach( i.e. tapped in FENDER JAZZ, MIJ) brought up a Japanese specialist website, that said CIJ started late '93, after this bass was made. Anyway, because of age/rarity/condition I am looking for £500(please, no price debates, thats what I THINK IT'S WORTH,and this market(hopefully not e.bay) will show me right or wrong). Would consider £100 plus good nick Shaftesbury/Kasuga/Ibanez copy of a bass that began with 4, although that would mean my GEDDY coming on in the near future. If anyone interested, pick up only but will come some way to meet. Any trial preferred, as we all know how personal basses are. I live in Wigan. Finally, please tell me, what do BUMP, and LOL mean? Cheers, Karl. ONE REDUCTION BEFORE E.BAY. WILL RELUCTANTLY ACCEPT £45O, BUYER COLLECTS. LETS BE HONEST, THEY DON'T MAKE THIS BASS EVERYDAY. IT WILL ONLY GET MORE DESIRABLE (IN MY OPINION)
10. Thanks for the comments folks. She is a beautiful looking jazz, that I've had for a few years. I had only ever seen one like it before, in Glasgow. I went back the following day, monied up, but it was gone. Between research and what the previous owner told me, I know she was one from a run of specials made for Japanese dealers, not for export. This used to happen quite frequently apparently. He worked for Shell and brought it back with him. He told me it was specced on a '65 and she was MIJ, as CIJ was just starting.Internet research gave that some credence. When I do find out what the pick ups are, she will be going for sale, as I haven't played for 4+ years, and times are hard for me.If you know anyone looking? Anyway thanks guys, someone admiring your gear (Carry on Bass??) is always nice. Cheers, Karl.
11. Hello all and thanks for the response. More friends in 1 day than 2 years of living in Wigan. However, you guys don't know about the soap issue! L, I'm glad you're loving the SEI. Like I said at the time the '93 Japanese Special would have to be next. Also like I said, the house will go before the '73 Natural Jazz! Bassdoc and Zoe, many thanks for the response, it is appreciated. You guys are very kind. I quessed the pick ups would be Japanese, but with it being a custom for the Japanese market I don't know and I don't know how to find out. Johngh, I would be delighted for any advice/guidance you could give and if there is a better place for the thread please do so. Very kind. May the bass be with you all. Karl, the Abominal Bassman (as mentioned in Vic Reeves memoirs!).
12. New to this technology stuff. Valves for me. Anyway, I need some help folks. I have a '93, made in Japan, which is very rare. I am technically inept and need to know how to work out what the pick ups are (ie, US, Japan, whatever). This is for when I sadly part with her in the not too distant future. It's rare because its an import, originally a run for Japanese dealers. Cherry red see through lacquer, same finish on neck and headstock (and we all know how rare that is), plus gold coloured hardware, logo, tuners etc. So, any advice on finding out what the pick ups are, would be gratefully appreciated. Thanks in advance folks, Karl.
