1. I have a fretless version of this... and no money... <_<

You couldn't spend the asking price more effectively; these are absolutely stunning basses play fabulously and with a massive range of tones.

Not allowed to buy a bike (or even say it out loud) either... Who ever buys this will be well pleased...

2. On a completely different tack... lightweight rig...Acoustic Image Focus 2 (600W @ 4Ohms...5lbs!!:with bag) and Sound Tech ND410s (1200W 4Ohms: 23KG!!!) with cover and some cash... if you don't ask... :gas:

3. Currently use a Wizzy 110 (paid at least this....) with an AI Clarus in reherasal settings, for a 110 it's SUPERB, had a 112EXL which was more... got no pennies or I would...EA make are great boxes, do way more than you'd think for the size... all with 5 active string Jazz and Fretless in electric rock settings with drummer who has defective volume control... (do they all?)

4. A lot of the 301's sound is the original Cerwin Vega (red cambric surround) driver, tried the boxes I've had (where the drivers came blown: couldn't find a replacement/recone for love nor money) with others but never the smooth sound... Used a 320 with a 406, 370 with a 301 and 406 and a 220 with all sorts of cabs... but never had a 408 (4x15) band I used to go and see in Glasgow in the 80's (Chou Pharot) used the 320/408 combination... mental in a pub setting!!!
Keep the faith.

5. Hi there, bought one of these new in the day (940? 924DS (Dark Stain)... more expensive than a Fender (probably due to the through-neck construction)! Great fretless tone.. the pups are a single coil design, despite the size, hence the hum... just like a Jazz. Great playing bass, really fast neck with an ebony board. Lovely, great value at the asking price.

6. OOps, spilt my... beer... stunning bass at a VERY, VERY good price... if you'd like the contents of my garage (have to double check but I believe an excellent collection of Beany Bears and other houshold 'essesntials' would be available), happy to deliver... :yarr: anywhere.

Gorgeous bass.

7. Currently custodian of a TB-1200 head... all I ever wanted was a Bassman that was 1. Loud enough for all applications: 2. a tube head where the big bottles didn't go soft in the second set and so lose definition/crispness... BINGO
Newer Fender amps really have come a long, long way.

8. If micro/lightwieght and 'the sound or your bass' are the pre-requisites then try an Acoustic Image head.. not cheap, but try one and you'll get why... I use the Clarus (300W into 2 Ohms minimum, 200w into 4 and 120 into 8: 5lbs) with an EA Wizzy 110 for rehearsals/practice/studio and the Focus 2 (600W 4 ohms: 5lbs) with a Sound Tech NS410S (4Ohms: 103dB eff,) for bigger stuff.
Hell in a handbag....

9. Not strictly 100W but a Bassman 135 is the same power tube complement as the 100, bit cleaner for longer... as always it depends on the cab/s efficiency... 100w tube head with a good 215 goes a looooonnngg way.

Or just buy an SVT Classic.. there, said it.... you know it makes very loud/heavy sense... :gas:

10. OK if we include transport no problem (you need a van) then my old Trace 1812 stack. Bottom side of the Bi-amp is an 18" (Fane Colossus: ported), 15" (Celestion Powercel: sealed) and Hi-pass handled by a 12" (RCF) in a flare. All in one box, 55" tall and just over 110Kg (made from HDF: later 18mm Birch ply ones I had were lighter). 'Course you need an AH500 to run it (23Kg).. When I bought my original ones in '84 I had Trace flight case them...stairs NOT an option for one person...
So BEST ever was two of the above at a time : :gas:  :yarr:
Now you see where the van came in...
