Seems like no money at all for a through body bass with a top class facing.
-
Always thought a Stingray 5 should look like this... love it... no cash best of luck. It's also the finish I would choose... b***oc*s
-
I'm with Zed, no finer look for a Stingray...
-
Lovely looking bass.
-
Lovely and great value.. good luck
-
+n where 'n' is VERY large number... want to see this, imaginations in overdrive....
-
I'll never have the money for one of these but I love them, design, materials everything... good luck; if you ever want to move it on at a staggering loss let me know...
-
The Checkerboard edging on these has always been my favorite purfling; never seen one in the flesh, just pix when they came out (International Musician or Beat Instrumental... can't remember which). I love the look of this bass. Got to be worth every penny.
Best of luck -
Beatiful bass, GREAT price!!
-
Gorgeous... just gorgeous
-
Been through the same process (more than once... just to prove it) but I still think they're the coolest looking basses and this is particularly nice. Best of luck.

Very similar to one sported by one Glenn Hughes on the cover of a recent Bass mag.. lovely

Bump for a great guy to deal with... what do you fancy trying instead??
-
Small world.. I just picked up a custom built 5 string Jazz from a Newcastle lad living in Paisley near Glasgow... was put together for him about 17 years ago by Howard (he worked part time in the shop) with the neck made by Jim Cairnes... nicest 'Jazz' I've played.

B****x... unless you fancy an EA iAmp 350 1x10 combo plus cash (or various other items from Aladdin's cave) I'm out.... I have a Tech 1x15 which is fabby and am sure this would be monster with my iAmp800.

Have owned several V8's and played with V4's... the V6 wins hands down on attack, clarity, headroom and delicacy.. odd combination but exceptional amps... unless you have a particular interest in the contents (mostly clothes and bric-a-brac) of our garage I'll have to pass ..BUT.. if you fancy a tube head these are fantastic... I used it in a loud rock scenario with a 410 and never had any issues.

Just bought a Low Down 110 from Alan, really easy; goods well packed and as listed, great comms; totally recommended.
-
ta much, also wish i had the cash as it's a great looking/sounding bass
-
Hi there, lovely sound, not trying to hijack the thread but what FX are you using in the vid?
-
had a go on this... plays great and sounds exactly like... a 70's P bass. the neck is really quick with a nice low action and it's not too heavy either.
Dear Sanity Clause... -
I played this the other day with a MIM Jazz, you got to love the relaxed natural sound... worth mentioning that it's silent in operation, if you're going to be recording or close mic'd (e.g. pit work) it's the very berries.

Had one of these, loud!!! Weighty but worth it... Waaaayyyy more than you'd think for the size.. Uke; you did make a good call....IMHO

Me too.. going to buy the book.. thanks

Fair price for an industry standard; they really do just do the biz, couriers ain't so bad if you wrap well, take the tubes out, bubble wrap them and put them back inside for transport. If you want 'that tube sound' there's nothing more simplistic/reliable than an Ampeg.
good luck.
