These aren't all that visible and don't detract from the overall excellent condition that the guitar is in. If you were really that concerned, you could replace the plate. To be honest, I only notice the marks in a certain light at a certain angle.[/font][/size][/color][color=#000000] [font=arial, helvetica, sans-serif][size=3]And unless you've got the lead guitarist writhing on the floor staring up at your crotch while you crank out some decent prog (because, after all, that's what you should be playing. The neck is straight as a die and all of the wood is, I would say, in original condition.   4. Hi all Before I head over to Ebay, I thought that I'd see if any of you lot would like to purchase my Boss SYB3 Synth pedal? Checked it out today (after not using it for a while) - working perfectly. I simply don't use it any more... Comes with the box and instructions (helpful to avoid sounding like you're sitting on a duck). I would really like to get £50 for it - including delivery to your door... Can't say fairer than that... What do you reckon? Roll up, roll up and all that - don't see a huge number of these for sale... Cheers Neil

  9. Out of interest, why are there so few synth pedals on the market (compared to others)? Is it because everyone hates them and only a few poor sods bought them, everyone loves them and refuses to part with them or they break? A, B or C? Make your choices now!

  11. I'm up for a string change on the Shine and Aston (Electro-Acoustic) now. The Shine has got some random nylon wound black things currently (great sound but never want to play them again) and the Ashton has standard bronze acoustics on. I've normally run Rotosound as I quite like them, in the heaviest gauges that I can get. But I'm up for a change (although don't like Ernie Balls) so thought I'd see what you lot thought. Not sure where the band situation is going at the moment, but it could be anywhere between Sigur Ros style and full on rock. I'm seriously considering a bass synth pedal too, as well as a bit of distortion and, although self taught, am getting worryingly into chord type structures... So that's where I am/am going. What makes do you guys like and why? What would you recommend?

I bought it to assess what effects I wanted and now I know, I haven't got any need for the others (plus I want some high quality separate pedals).   17. What's a good hint (aside from playing behind the amp!!!) for avoiding feedback on an acoustic bass? Are there any 'plug-ins' that you can get to limit teh signal at all without diminishing sound quality? Ta!

  22. What are the differences in sound between the coils that move the string-holder thingies (names? You'd never guess I'm mainly self taught, would you?) up and down and the screws on the back of the bridge that move them forwards and backwards? Is one to do with resonance?
