1. 1) You can use any combination of two outputs on the amp, 2 jack, 1 jack and 1 speakon, whatever 2) Unless on the cabs it says otherwise, it should be fine to use any socket to connect to the head or cabs
2. Cool, thanks for the responses It's definitely a LMII (I called and checked yesterday). I don't have the chance to try it out as the shop is a bit far from where I live. I'll have 7 days to return it if I don't like it anyway (I can also exchange it before 30 days, and by that time I'd have enough money to get a LMIII... but I don't think I can justify spending £550 on an amp), and I can try it properly with my cab... I'm thinking of sticking it in the garden and cranking it
3. I went to a guitar shop a couple of days ago and tried a few amps out once again, and was extremely impressed with the Little Mark III head they had there (personally I liked it better than the TC BG500 I was raving about a while ago ). They had a preowned LMII there for £299.99... Should I grab it? I understand the differences on both amps are small, so that isn't a problem. I'm more worried about the reliability... I would want it to last a few years at least. I'm not sure how old it is but if Markbass is known for being reliable then that shouldn't be a problem. I can't see myself pushing it beyond (or even near) half volume in the foreseeable future, will this help the lifspan of the amp or does it not make a difference? So can anyone vouch for Markbass and give me faith that the amp won't die
4.
Has anyone had their subscription copy? The interview with Randy Hope-Taylor, Winston Blissett, etc just cuts off before its natural end.
*Looks in his copy of BGM* Woah, it does get cut off... Big mistake there
5. Sorry to hijack the thread, but Bob, what's your opinion on the Classic450? Same goes out to anyone else who has it
6. Bought a powersupply off Matthew, really friendly guy and kept me updated, no issues at all. Excellent!!
7. I don't think it would be a good idea, I'm not sure what impedance the amp likes but I had a look at the manual and there wasn't a diagram for both speaker outputs being used (there was for configurations using one output), so I think using both would be a no no. The minimum impedance is probably 4 ohms and with 4ohms+8ohms you'll have... Uh... Less than 4 ohms
8. The LB is all tube, and tube power sections will break without having a load on them. So you'll need a dummy load to stop the amp from dying!
9. Bought a cab off Vince, really friendly guy and communication was quick. Even delivered to my house and let me try the cab with his amp! Highly reccommended Thanks again Vince!
10. There's a problem with the hyperlink. The link directs to http://s639.photobucket.com/albums/uu114/J...tion=postupload. As you can see from the '...' the address has been cut short...
11. Wow, topic is on the TC website http://www.tcelectronic.com/bg500reviews.asp
12. I saw a used Aria IB-STD Integra Standard bass in a guitar shop yesterday, and it looked pretty interesting and I could probably get it at a low price... But I can't find any information about it. The only information about it I can find is that it was made between 1988-90 according to this website: http://www.ariaguitars.com/int/00int_main/...es_ebass01.html I don't have any pictures or anything, but it was black, two single coil pickups, and had a bolt on neck, which didn't seem to be made of wood. The fretboard was completely black and was definitely not wood. Thanks for any help!
13.
ive been looking at these??? do i go for this or the 450 classic
The BG500 seems better value as it's a similar price but has more features and a speaker... But if you want portability go for the Classic I guess
14. I'm selling a Ibanez GSR200 active PJ bass and a P bass with the name 'Bismark' on the headstock. Both are in good condition, but there are some scuffs on the back of each (its not too bad as you can see from the last picture below). Both play well. The Bismark is strung with Steel Rotos (not sure what gauge) and the Ibanez has Nickel 'Player' Elites Pics: I'm looking for [s]£50+P&P for the Bismark[/s] and around £120+P&P for the Ibanez. These prices are not set in stone so please give me an offer and maaaaybe trades if you can tempt me with something nice I'm in Watford if you want to pick up, and I can take the necks off and ship the basses in parts (in the same box) to really make sure that they're safe. I like to pack things to survive a third world war but taking the neck off should reduce the risk of posting a bit more Thanks! Bismark gone
15. The guitar was sold yesterday privately... Sorry about that
