1. I've just shown this thread to my wife and reminded her that, having also bought her a platinum/diamond engagement ring, I am awaiting my engagement bass. Won't hold my breath!
2. Gorgoeus- If I had any money I'd buy it in a flash!

4. I had a US 75RI- out of all the pickguards I had, I preferred black. Throw in a set of Di Marzios, get a Sadowsky outboard pre and your sorted!

6. I've just bought a TD650 which I will pair with 2 EBS neo 112s. I've only plugged it into one of them so far...very nice.

8.
So am i right in thinking that you wont accept cash offers for this bass?
I have it as a trade at the moment as I think I'll get better value (though I could be wrong). It's also my only bass (my spare is in the shop) so a direct sale could leave me without a bass, which would be a problem. That being said, if it was a great offer I'd certainly consider it!
9. I have a mint, year old LMII (bought from The Gallery). Ideally, I'm looking for a trade for an EBS head with additional cash from me depending on the model, age condition. Dan

11. Cheers Rich...it is very pretty. No doubt (if a suitable trade comes along) it will join my ever increasing list of basses I wish I hadn't sold!
12.
Good luck with the trade.
Cheers. Just to clarify (after a couple of PMs raised the questions)...I'm after a Fender clone (though I wouldn't rule out other manufacturers) and I am looking for a bass of a similar value...not bass + cash deals. Thanks, Dan
13. Mike’s Shuker (also in this section) has me hankering after something more traditional (i.e. a Fender clone). The Status has set me back quite a bit so I’d prefer to lessen the hit by trading (and not selling). I’m not in a massive hurry, but would be interested to see if there are any trade options about. The specs are: Status S2 Classic, Thru-neck, 4 string, headless, fretted. Figured maple top, mahogany body, walnut tone block, vintage amber sunburst. I bought it new six months ago for £1800. The current price list has it at £1975 (plus £125 for the finish) before the cost of the LEDs. It has since had SIMS front and side LEDs added at a cost of a further £300. The bass is mint and would come with the Status branded Hiscox case and all of its original documentation.
14. Thanks for the advice. I have a DI box on my board (the Sadowsky outboard pre) but I use that more as an eq boost when slapping. Sounds like an opportunity to buy a Markbass Super Booster. Use the Sadowsky as the basic tone and throw the Markbass in front of it to boost as and when.
15. It's the latest version...got it from The Gallery about a year ago. Haven't thought about a price yet- ideally after a trade to avoid making too much of a loss.
