1. Sold a high value bass to Mark fairly recetly...absolutely no problems. A gentleman!
2.
I'm interested in this. Can you please post some pics of the back pack straps and the inside showing the padding? And which model is it? Thanks.
Hi- pics added at the top. It looks like an older model than those in link- I bought it new approximately four years ago. It is closest to Sonoma model I think.
3. Reunion Blues- probably the best gig bags in the world... Pretty rare and difficult to get hold of in the UK. I've had this for a few years and it's great. Some wearing to the piping on the pocket (pictured) but that's about it. £60 + P&P
4. I have an as new Martyn Booth Special Plus that is for sale- £1400. I would also trade it for the right acoustic six string of comparative value (ideally a Martin or similar) . Martyn Booth is one of the UK's finest luthiers and this is a great guitar. Check out the stellar reviews here: http://www.martynboo....co.uk/reviews/ Here is the guitar: http://www.martynboo...11&GuitarID=104
5. Cheers for the comments chaps- it is rather nice! Still up at £1200... A couple of trade options...Gibson Les Paul or a top end 6 string acoustic
6. Sure I mentioned this before (but not on this thread maybe)...I can wholeheartedly recommend Martyn Booth. One of the best luthiers in the country (check out the Guitarist et al reviews)- will always give you an honest appraisal (even if it means turning work away) and provides the finest work of any luthier I have used. 7. Pics of C&G Reissue case and candy attached (including period strap and cable, pup covers, unused mute, hang tags, and documents) as well as original receipts. Nicely collectible...
8.
Please stop tempting me.
It's hanging on a wall waiting for you...
9.
info in this talk bass post
Thanks for the link. For information, the case candy includes hang tag, original receipt, pick-up covers and the other usual suspects. I'll get a picture up in the next couple of days.
10.
I had a Lake placid blue one, I think it was alder body with poly paint, i 'think' your one is an ash body and maybe nitro? anyway a very nice bass- and a good price too. very good in face\t
Pretty sure it's poly over ash...
11.
I reckon what you need is a Patrick Eggle LA Pro - they slay Fenders and, with a Jeff Beck humbucker in the bridge, have a great juicy lead tone. http://www.patrickeg...92/lapro92a.jpg Somewhat surprisingly I just happen to have one I'd gladly PX against a '75 RI
Thanks for the offer, but it's a Strat or Les Paul...icon over quality I know!
12. Thanks for all of the positive comments...yes, stunning, very playable and rare!
13. Still up at £1200... A couple of trade options...Gibson Les Paul or a top end 6 string acoustic. One of a limited run of USA 75 re-issues in sonic blue with matching headstock. Blocks and binding on a rosewoord board. Comes with original case, case candy and receipts. Serial number is 20. Quality build and amazing slim neck. There are two minor blemishes that I tried to photo- there is a small patch of slight discolouration where your right forearm would rest and there is a small bruise on the lower bout- this hasn't broken the finish and is barely visible. Neither of them are at all significant, but always best to overstate on these matters. There is a thread on these rare models here...http://basschat.co.u...special+edition £1200 Thanks, Dan
14. My initial response was definitely no...until I read the re-fin bit. I'm not sure (if you ever did sell) that a re-fret would have any significant negative impact on the price of a refinished one. Completely agree with the comment that a re-fret is maintenance and not a mod.
