I bought one too from Italy for £200, it arrived yesterday.  When I opened it I was convinced it was a fake.  The MDF front was warped so much I could slide a £1 coin through the gap.  The white paint finish is horrible and rough. This images on the internet did not match mine.  The graphics on the VU meter were different.  The input board is different as is the vinyl covering. I looked on the Ashdown website and their images actually did match my amp. There appears to be two versions of this amp, one with curved handles, 20svu printed on meter and jack socket at the top middle of plate and one with flatter handles without 20svu on meter and jack sockets at left side of plate.  This is a poorly made Chinese product. It is possible to make fantastic high quality products in China like Nikon lenses or Apple products.  This is old school China with poor quality control.  I have never owned Ashdown product before and I didn't know whether they were quality products. I own a Sonos 5 which is a similar sized speaker box and amp for £400.  It is amazing in every way.  I realise it is not the same type of product as the B social but comparisons are valid when Ashdown are asking £600 rrp. I would value the Ashdown B-Social at about £100 and that is assuming the front panel is not warped. Oh and the sound? Not impressed.

Are you getting any vibration through yours, mine had a touch of that if I tried to boost the bass.  Main reason I sent mine back

Selling this great sounding bass combo, its ideal for home practice uses with headphone out and aux-in

Dimensions are 27cm x 27cm x 26.5cm, its a great desktop size which was ideal for me.

I was always searching for a home practice combo that still gave me a decent tone, so often practice combo's seem to sacrifice tone for size.  This combo still provides satisfying low-end.

The combo is in cracking condition, only used at home.

The combo has the original mailing box so can be delivered, delivery £10.

The full tech spec is below.

    optional Satellite Tweeter (not included)
    BASS PORT: rear
    IMPEDANCE: 8 ohms

  3. I need to fund the purchase of a new amp so I am putting my Rumblekat up for sale.

It would cost £500 to buy the bass and case new from a store, this bass and case is in excellent condition for half that price.

Great little bass, bought for noodling when sat at the PC or in the armchair, stored away when not in use.

Bass is 30" in scale length and 1.68" nut width, gold hardware with NYT Bass mini humbuckers.

Case and bass are both in Excellent condition and will be securely packaged for delivery.

All my items are as bombproof as bubblewrap and cardboard boxes can be.

I'm not so happy today . Playing an active bass(E string) through it at less than half volume and the vibration in the cabinet is ridiculous. Its coming from the side rather than directly from the speakers. I've contacted Ashdown for a response but it's taking any joy out of playing.>:(

I'm not sure if I've got a defective unit but it was supposedly delayed while it was checked by an engineer before it was posted.

    If I'd paid £600 I'd be livid.

Same here, b stock unit £250 it’s okay if I roll off the bass on the amp but that seems a bit off for a bass amp.  Bass heavy music streamed to the unit doesn’t have the same distortion.  Haven’t actually tried the instrument2 input.  Going to persevere but think that I will send it back after Xmas. Doing my best to make it work

  5. Clear-out continues, I am looking to sell this amp as I am using an Ashdown Tourbus 10 right now and the functionality I have on the BEAM is duplicated in the GT1B multi-effects pedal.

Its in great condition, complete with cables, but there is no box or manual.  Manual is available from the Blackstar website if you require and as always this will be very well packed.  As bombproof as you can get with cardboard and bubblewrap.

Get a decent practice bass tone out of it at a volume that wont upset the neighbours

Generic picture shown, will replace with a picture of mine when I get home tonight, but the BEAM is in excellent condition, no signs of wear or damage.

    Bass Guitar Amp
The ID:Core BEAM is the first product that caters for bass guitarists. Blackstar have worked extensively on the bass voicings on this amp to make sure they will please even the most discerning player.

Bass 1 Voice setting is a vintage voicing. This voicing is EQ'd fairly flat and will give you warm, smooth, classic bass tones.

Bass 2 Voice setting is a modern bass voicing that will help you achieve those dynamic bass tones of today.

    Electric Guitar Amp
The electric Voice control has six different settings – Clean Warm, Clean Bright, Crunch, Super Crunch, OD 1, OD 2. Using these in conjunction with Blackstar's ISF, you will be able to achieve any tones you are thinking of. If you want to go into even deeper editing, simply plug your ID:Core BEAM into your Windows PC or Mac and open up the Insider software.

    Acoustic Guitar Amp
This is the first ever acoustic product that Blackstar have released and they've have worked tirelessly to make sure you will be able to achieve crystal clear acoustic chimes to warm, full bodied depth. There are 2 different voicings available for your guitar:

Acoustic 1 Voice setting is designed to be flat response allowing your acoustic to take the driving seat. The tone from the amp will replicate that of your guitar and the guitar's pickup and pre-amp section.

Acoustic 2 Voice setting is a natural sounding, dynamically voiced pre amp that will turn any acoustic guitar into a ready-to-record tone machine.

    Bluetooth Speaker
Fed up with loads of cables getting tangled up and looking messy? Who isn't? This inspired Blackstar to work with modern technology to allow you to stream your favourite music wirelessly to the ID:Core BEAM with extremely impressive audio quality and volume. The way in which the cabinet is designed provides impeccable audio separation and will fill out the room with a perfect level of bass response. 6. I am selling my NM2 overdrive pedal having his signature bass I thought I should have his pedal to go with it but I don't use it as I have all effects requirements covered by the GT1B.

The NM2 is in excellent boxed condition, price includes delivery.

    img_20170320111049_76535.png

Designed from the ground up for Nate Mendel of the Foo Fighters, the NM2 is a unique professional dual distortion pedal capable of driving a stereo rig for huge walls of bass sound.

    Stereo Sound Sculpting

Taking the signal from a bass, the NM2 splits internally to two Outputs. Each outputs provide the original signal (at the input level) plus their own individual mix of two separate and very different distortion types (one for each output). Because unaltered bass signal is fed from input to the output and the distortion effects are added to it, the resulting sound is always full and dynamic, with the effects adding rich overtones to core sound of your bass.

For use with a stereo rig each output can be fed to a separate amplifier and the individually adjustable bass overdrive effects switched IN or OUT for Output 1, for Output 2 or both together.
For use with a single amp, using the 1+2 switch means both effects can be routed to Output 2.

    Setting the level

Whether you're using an active or passive bass, the Ashdown VU meter in combination with the Input level knob let's you easily find the sweet spot, ensuring you get the best possible tone in and out - whatever instrument you're using.

    Built for the road

We know the rigours of the live gigging, that's why we build our pedals tough enough for whatever the road throws at them. Metal casings, premium controls and switches, recessed knobs and kickguards to protect screens and VU meters – bring it on!

    True Bypass Switching

We don't mess with your tone. Ashdown Pedals feature genuine 'true bypass' switching for zero-colouration of your input signal when the pedal isn't in use. The Output level control lets you dial in the perfect balance between the effect and the true bypass level.
