I showed this to a couple of mates for a laugh. Which they all duly did, until one of them suggested we get a posse together and each put in for a £50 share., so we can each use it on occasional gigs. A bit like owning a racehorse, and probably as heavy.
What have I started??
Description for that says 6.8kg!

Cut to the chase, price reduced to £275 collected, £300 delivered, thats my bottom line.

I know what you mean, especially when through a process of elimination I have ended up with basses that I don't want to sell.
I have put the Kiloton up only because its the last one in to my possession and a readily available bass that I can replace down the line, the others not so much, especially considering the "connection" I have with some of them.
-
I just need to work out which bass to sell to cover this unexpected cost!

I am travelling up to Peterborough from Ipswich on Saturday could arrange a meetup if it helps
-
Not in my possession yet, won it on eBay last night, just wanted to tell the Basschat world.
Really pleased to get one of the UK built ones.
Try and make this one a keeper, the couple of Chinese made ones I have had in the past have been sold to fund other things, but I keep coming back because they sound so good.
Going up to Peterborough to collect on Saturday, bit of trek but will be worthwhile

Hello,
I have been seeing adverts for this quite ab it, looks like it could be a decent THR10, Blackstar Beam or B-Social alternative.
Only £200 delivered at the moment, wonder if it will be any good?

I have a Kiloton..its awesome, very punchy, light and powerful. Great price..glwts
Yes, didn't mention the weight, lightweight for a bass and nice slim neck, very playable
-
would it be possible to make a feature of the crack in the finish and do something like this:
The resin fills the cracks, U guess I would probably have to increase the size of the crack for the resin to take.
The resin would work quite well against the white finish

That makes sense!
Incidentally, with the single coil setting, does it sound remotely p like? I understand that the single coil is the one nearer the neck - just wondering what sort of sound this has.
Is it far enough forward to get near to the P sound, or far enough back to do the bridge solo jazz thing?
As you say being positioned as far back as it is the location doesn't lend itself to a classic p-bass tone, definitely more Jazz than P bass, and a modern take at that.

Ha! I’m doing Panto at the New Wolsey Theatre - acting and playing bass in the show which is a whole lot of fun but very sweaty work!Excellent, I bet.
I hope you managed to avoid the problems on Norwich Road.i am on the east side of Ipswich, not too far away.

Very nice basses. I’m working in Ipswich at the moment too which is pretty dangerous!
Where abouts are you and what have you done to deserve that! 😀

I've been craving one of these for a while. Interesting that you say it sounds like a p bass. More so than it does a stingray?
Sorry rogue P in the listing! now amended.

For Sale Phil Jones Bass Cub BG-100 Practice Bass Combo Amplifier, Black.
Looking to sell as I am only playing at home with earphones and with low level volume on My Mac. The onboard 100w of the cub are too much for me at home.
I had one of these before and the two channels and onboard limiter are great, great tone from a little box.
This is the newer version of the combo that comes with the dust cover and not the carry bag. Only bought 3 months ago used a handful of times since then.
Postage possible.

Selling my recently acquired Kiloton bass from Bass Direct.
Never tried a G&L before so bought this just after buying a few other basses, it sounds great, proper bass. However I have over extended the finances, so this one has to go.It is a b-stock bass with a crack to the finish on the back of the bass and a mark to the top of the headstock.
£300 delivered, £275 collected.

Hadn’t realised Brandoni had those spare necks. Looks like that could be it. Was tempted as it’s near me, thought the body might have made a donor body for a double bass type build
-
Hello,
just wonder if anybody has seen one of these before? Looks heavy and uncomfortable!

Now sold, was £499.
Will keep looking.
Well, its a NBD for me, despite throwing you all off the scent with the above post (in case you all told me it was a dog and not worth it!) I bought the bass.
Put it on the scales and it comes in at just under 10lbs.
The hardcase that came with it has seen better days but the bass itself is very clean, nice example and sounds huge!
Thanks for your input and reading suggestions, its sad to see that the company is no more and the company that one of the sons started has also closed down now due to his retirement.

selling my 20th Anniversary Jack Casady bass with unused gigbag, strange and certificate of authenticity.
It’s a great example of the Jack Casady bass in a model that is no longer available.
Only been on display since I bought it, I love the look, the sound but I don’t enjoy playing it.
