    Info update as I’ve been asked: *side dots are in the fretted position (that is: middle of ‘frets’). * As stated it’s a Tanglewood but the logo has been replaced and so can be removed or replaced if necessary. * The neck is in impeccable condition. No dings etc…. Plays super smooth, nice spacing and lovely maple.

    No probs. You’ll know what’s best for you. Saying that…… I have always preferred solid feeling (heavy in some guy’s opinion) basses as they seem to sound ‘tighter/crisper/snappier’ etc… in my experience. Even for Fretless. I guess one possible compromise is weight..,but I’ve compensated throughout the years by better (wider/thicker) straps and if the bass itself does not balance well (again in my opinion…approx 45 degree hang), I’m always prepared to move strap pins! Very subjective topic I know🙄 40 years plus playing has hardened my spine on many levels (🤣🤣) I’ve played and owned a wide variety (not all sadly) of ‘factory’ made to ‘custom’ made from vintage to modern basses…and my view hasn’t changed. Stubborn? Set in my ways?🤷🏽‍♂️

    No working scale at home at the moment (wife rule), but if I remember correctly it’s not a super lightweight…maybe between 8-9lbs. sorry to be vague…

    Thinning is necessary but so painful! 😖🤕 Hopefully someone has a need/space for this beauty! Tough to see it go after getting it to an unbelievable playing state…but my fretless needs are well covered (ACG plug alert)!😎

    Finding a local (within reason) to do is proving to be more difficult than I thought. Alan (ACG) is just too far! Move closer damnnit!! Just checked Bass Gallery……one week turnaround (two London trips)! Wowza! May have to pull out the pliers and a manual!

    Thanks for that. Its a US company…haven’t done that kind of transaction in a long while. I was hoping to use someone more local to me (a bit more local than that😂) But..in case, anyone with experience in cost/time/tax etc….for US shipping to the UK? Even with a small item like this…

    Need (want) a shiny brass nut on my ACG Finn 5 string. Mostly for aesthetic reasons (well aware of the use of metal vs the rest arguments…phew). Anyone recommended in the Buckinghamshire area ? I’m in Aylesbury. Also I cant seem to find any blanks in the approx size….W5.5mm, L47.8mm, H9.5-8.5mm
