  1. Amazing little thing. ”Road worn” finish may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but the finish on the neck is fantastic and really nice to use. I didn’t get the original black scratch plate when I bought this used, so got one made up - think it looks great with the black. Also includes the original pearl reliced one. Strung with La Bella that are pretty new - great thumps tone! Also supplied with a set of Chromes that I didn’t like as much, but would give a brighter tone if you wanted. They’ve been on for a few weeks and then stuck the La Bella on there… I have a brand new Fender short scale bag with it too. Everything works as it should. Frets all good with no real signs of use. Truss rod works as it should and is easily adjusted due to the cutout at the body and scratch plate (wish all. The vintage style ones had this!) - so no neck off adjustments needed. Pickups are great on these too, very dynamic. Great punch when you want it and can be very subtle too. More so with the Chromes for sure. The La Bella give it a very old school sound. So, JMJ Bass, extra scratch plate, Chromes and brand new gig bag included. £950 - Can box and post at cost or ready for your Courier to collect. (price assumes PP Gift or bank transfer - normal PP is fine if you cover the fees) Trades - MAYBE I could add to the deal for a AO,AVRI 60’s Jazz bass. Or would maybe take a nice tube DI in PX. Appreciate I'm new here with no sales feedback as a seller... I'm on The Fretboard with lots of 100% feedback, same on elektronauts.com, eBay with 100% feedback and the same username (brucegill) I'm based near Stansted Airport (CM22 7). Traveling to Linton in Cambridge every day to drop the kids at School at the moment too, if that helps.
  2. Would love to try a Noble, but likelihood of me finding one is pretty slim. I do wish I still had the Big Tree to try with bass though.... This threads not helping my GAS levels.
  3. Thanks @Grimalkin good to hear. I’ve reached out to La Bella and where I bought them.
  4. Looking for a little help… I have a JMJ Mustang and bought a set of La Bella 760F-MUS Deep Talkin Bass. these seem like the correct La Bella for a through body short scale mustang… the E string is dead as dead thing. Sound like there’s a mute on the E, but not the others. Lots of reading on line and it seems either - A. That’s what they’re all like, the A, D and G string mellow and the E brightens up and after a break in period they all sort of catch up and get to a uniform sound. B. I’ve somehow twisted the E string. I’ve tried all I can to make sure the E isn’t twisted. Taken it off and re strung it. Loosened the string, popped the ball end back out of the body and then tightened the string. (I didn’t wrap the string round the post by hand, I tightened the tuning peg). the E string is pretty tight in the body/bridge. The silk wrap is partly to blame I think. anything else I can try? Lube the string at the bridge end maybe? Or is it just a dead string? audio here https://www.dropbox.com/s/qa1qeh1cua1is4s/labelladeadE.mp3?dl=0 many thanks!

  11. “Plusgas” is fantastic stuff (looks like Amazon have it, though I’ve never used the aerosols version personally). Propper penetrating oil - unlike wd40. Have used it for years on vintage bikes and cars and anything else. lovely bass! Looks so good in that colour. Good to hear some feedback about that trader too as he always has some lovely Jap stuff in. Prices have gone crazy though.
  12. Great guys to deal with too. Really helpful
  13. Are you using this for Bass? I had one a while ago but used it for Guitar. Sounded great! Great with synths too.
