I had a fretless ebony one of these …flogged it for a couple of hundred in the 90s, luckily I managed to pick up a mark ii a few years later at considerably more that two hundred.

I’m a bit foggy on this, I want to split my signal in the studio to two seperate effects pipelines. I’m looking at what’s out there and there are some quite reasonable options pricewise such as the ehx switchblade + or mxr m196 …but then you can go silly with an active radial. My question is if I go passive am I halving the output and reducing the quality of the signal?, I don’t really want to compromise on output and quality but on the other hand I don’t want to throw good money away on some high end gear that I don’t really need.
any suggestions guys thanks.

you need to move the upper strap pin backwards as much as possible to shift the center of gravity in your favour.

If this doesn't do the job, you're dead.
I must be…Just sounds like a regular bass tone ..?

Killer tone…This was a Travis Bean aluminum neck…di and double tracked.

Agree about flea on that last one …maybe he was slightly taking the mick? But everything else was not what I would call bad at all, McCartney was sloppy but in a good way, burst out laughing when enwistle got a mention, seriously wtf?

During the 80s in deptford the ozrics regularly played in this dark crypt under a church against a psychedelic light show till four in the morning. They would distribute their home made cassette tape albums, it was a pretty chilled out scene. Webcore was another band that used to play there quite a bit.

Basically I had three Calis at the time…
Good answer.

Low action for me on my fretless is when it can’t be played lying down …only standing up.

The Cali 76 used to be mine, I can confirm that it is basically a brand new pedal - it’s a beautiful pedal and you won’t find a cleaner one.
I can’t fathom why anyone would want to sell this pedal in the first place…

Everything says I should like this band and I've tried listening so many times and just don't get it 😮
ozrics is what happens when you get brought up on a diet of gong and hawkwind …- 1

I have a couple but the reasons or buying them was purely because of the spec, not the player.

Used to follow this band a lot in the 80s, remember one particular squat gig getting raided by all these police …the support was zodiac mindwarp…heady daze for sure.

I bought my son the maudio keystation (he loves it) , then just get a lite free version of tracktion/waveform or whatever that has built in synths etc . As said before small keys is a mistake to learn on…it will put him off….
ps ..just noticed you got one…good choice!

I’m totally into bass guitars working with drum machines. Gorillaz are a pretty good example of what’s possible. I have loads of drum machines …but for the op requirements I would definitely go with the beat buddy, and get the foot switch.

I find having a lined board helps tremendously when I have to hit notes spot on fretted style, especially higher up the register. Of course I can play without them but it’s never going to be quite as accurate.

Keith Richards, Hendrix and Gilmour have all stepped up to the plate.

You can get to the same place by listening on headphones but feeding the low end to a subwoofer.

Some guy called Bruce…

Annoying right?…. And if you came earlier this is what you could have! Bass direct are just as guilty.
