Ah I thought we’d fixed that..
Nope, at least not in Safari on an iPad Pro. iOS 14.7.1. Don’t know about the Mac yet.

Suggest if possible that you remove the ability to customize text colour. E.g. presuming this looks fine on a dark theme, but it's close to unreadable on the default theme.
CC @will4bass
It’s unreadable on the dark theme.

Not an amp suggestion but a possible solution to the power supply.
The Li’l moxie converts the output from a typical portable usb power bank to 9v. I use one for a small pedalboard including a Sansamp BDDI and 3/4 Boss pedals. It will easily power more and with a suitable power bank lasts ages. Totally quiet too.

Played Callander a few times.
The last time we played there was a huge fight between the local yokels and some squaddies in the bar we played.
They were polite enough to wait until we'd finished our set, before the mayhem commenced
Always nice when the audience is accommodating.

Kicking off at 10pm after the Proms. Documentary around Don, an Arena special from 1984 plus the 1983 reunion concert at the Albert Hall.

Never done this before and I’ve been playing 50 plus years. Anyway the weather was fine yesterday so we went down to the sea front and set up on the prom. Guitar, bass and a Beat Buddy all battery powered through a small powered mixer and a couple of small powered speakers.
3 hours and we made 15 quid which more than covered the parking charge. Can’t say we attracted a crowd as it wasn’t very busy but people stopped to listen before walking on. And we enjoyed ourselves as neither of us have gigged in a long time.

Black Velvet.
I know.
+1. I always stop whatever I’m doing if that comes on the radio.

I’ve lost high frequencies which is typical of getting older. According to my wife who has Six Million Dollar hearing, I’m deaf because I can’t hear things she can. Including her sometimes. But generally I don’t have any serious loss of hearing that requires sticking any form of technology in my ears, which I’m pleased about as some friends of my age have two aids.

SkyArts this afternoon. Don Henley Austin City Limits at 15.00.
Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. 2006 concert in Gainesville. At 18.20. This may be the concert featured in the Running Down a Dream documentary. If it is it’s well worth a watch.- 1

Kylie at Hyde Park last night on BBC4...I lasted 20 secs. Not Kylie's fault...why is live sound, even recorded live sound, if that's not an oxymoron, such a problem for the BBC? The sound was awful! The vocals, this time seemed way louder than everything else which you couldn't hear anyway.
I had issues with BBC technicians when doing a live radio show years ago. We had to tell them how to mic stuff up, they had no idea.
Sound on TV recordings of festivals etc. is often bad. You’d think they would take the feed off the mix desk which should be reasonably well balanced if the guys on the desk are doing their job properly. -
We had an electrician in the band. If a venue started asking questions he went round testing all the electric outlets before we plugged anything in. That usually stopped the questions.
PLI is essential these days. In the UK the MU can help.- 1

I always thought the Jazz body was larger 🤔
You might be right. I don’t have a Precision to compare and don’t know anyone who has one.

Hi Cliff. I never knew this was a thing, so thanks a lot for opening my eyes to the possibility! I have submitted an enquiry for a quote from Pickfords, which I should get back by the end of the day.
Do you have any recommendations of company? I'm going in rather blind here so any further advice would be welcome.
Pickfords will be expensive and the quality of service is up and down. The Panalpina suggestion is a good one, as they have been in business a long time and they are a proper freight forwarding company who also do overseas removals.
They will ship it in a container along with other customers goods, unload at the port of entry or their depot and deliver to you.
You can also ask them to pack it, which might be a good idea. -

Mine is from 74 and is pretty light: 3.8kg/8lb 7oz. Maybe things got heavier from 75 onwards?
My 72 Jazz is 10lbs. A P bass body is larger.

Use a proper company that ships personal effects. Not a courier company.
International removal companies will know how to do this. Your goods should be declared as personal effects, not new, with a reasonable declared value. As personal effects they will not attract any duties. Most UK based International removal companies will have contacts in European countries that can handle the Italian end for you.

I carried a stolen bar towel in the case for years. Wiped my hands and strings/neck periodically during a gig.
Still have it.

“Play something we know”.
How the hell are you supposed to know what they know?
What’s the point in playing the same stuff every other pub band plays. -
Joey Jordison, Slipknot’s founding drummer, dies at age 46
Slipknot we’re never my cup of tea but it’s always sad to hear this kind of news. Particularly when the person is younger than yourself.

There’s a whole album full on “Benny Hill Sings?”
Deliberately so and one of my favourite albums of all time.
And who doesn’t like Ernie?- 1

it's a bit worrying that they have to tell us who some of the players worked with, e.g Paul McCartney (Beatles) whereas Scott Lafaro who worked with Bill Evans has no such addition. Does that means a lot of the Jazz players will be ignored by the voting readers or are they well known enough by the poll readers not to need the extra info?
It’s guitarworld. Don’t expect too much.
