  1. Any ideas for a battery powered amp that is loud enough to play in a duo with a Violin (for outdoor use). Was looking at the Roland Micro Cube but not sure how loud that would be. Keep in mind that to cover playing with a Violin on an Acoustic Guitar (which I also do) You need to play hard n strummed with a pick, subtle playing would be drown out.

I'm not a huge fan of slap either but i like it on occasion in certain parts of songs.

I have a huge respect for those bass players that can do it properly. There's no doubt it takes a lot of work to master it and at the same time make it entertaining. I dont like to hear it when its just rapid slap and pop with no tune or melody of any kind.

I enjoy this style of slap. Its melodic to my ear and just easy to listen to.

OMG DMc... You have really upset the bass police now!!! A Bass player who plays Solo! Tasteful compositions, & adds some Slap!!! "Not Normal INIT"

    LOL 😂

As @LeftyJ says the CW is still alder. For reference it weighs 8lb 6oz (exactly the same as my Stingray Special 4HH in fact).

Thanks. I was hoping it (the CW) might make a light 6 string. 4kilo for a 4 isn't bad (average) but as a 6 would probably be well over 5 kilo.

Anyway Your looks a lovely 4

One of these came up near me at a good price and I just couldn't resist! I've heard all the positive feedback they get here, and on TB, so GAS curiosity got the better of me. Its a 2005 from the Peerless factory and is in pretty good shape apart from the odd ding here and there.

I've been playing it for the past few hours and it produces quite the lovely mwamp with flats on it 😁

    Nice One Jonesy

I really like My Jack. Can I just ask how do You find out which factory it was built?
