You could try option 4 - Rap :)

Be afraid... Be very afraid...
For that is what I've gone for.
It's not as bad as that terrible time Peter Jones did a bit of "Rapper's Delight" on Dragon's Den, and I'm hoping lots of compression and filtering makes it not too appallingly ill-thought-out!
I'm sure The Kidz will love it.

2. Like it - reminds me of my youth :D
Anyway,I'd say it just needs a bit of thickening up at the bottom end.
In other words make the bass, snare, and bass drum deeper and wider. Perhaps double up the bass tracks, pan them out a bit and put different compression on each, one with more bass boost...

3. Or use something like "Mike the Drummer", which has thousands of drum clips, fills etc for every occasion. It just means a bit of editing...
Though I'm tending to tap out drums now using my keyboard's pads.
As for the Wal, I used my ancient one with an XLR cable straight into my Focusrite so it's just Wal electronics plus VST compression. Serious heavy bass tone!

4. I've always been into new music (51 now!) and have no desire at all to play covers unless it's interesting versions of songs you rarely hear covered.
So I put an ad in the Black Sheep (local Shropshire/Wales/Herefordshire free music and arts listings) asking for folks who wanted to be in a band playing mainly originals with influences ranging from Parliament to Ornette Coleman via Motorhead. I knew it was a long shot, but twas worth a try...
So I got 2 responses; one was from a singer/songwriter who thought I could get him gigs, and the other was from a drummer and guitarist who wanted to do exclusively Beatles covers.

I guess that is up to you , but I always look for one , especially as the image is the inspiration for the piece , but then interpretation of that is totally subjective.

Aye!
Personally I just use the image for inspiration; whether that's a photo-reality type rendering of every detail or a Daliesque flight of fancy matters not.
And voting-wise, I vote for whichever song(s) I like best having assumed that all of them are inspired by the image!

6. Better late than never!
Anyway, this band's guitarist once played in Dredd and the Badass Weeds, along with me and Jay Rayner!

That was my first bass - cost me £90 from some no longer existing shop in Denmark St. I customised it with EMGs, and now it hangs on my wall.
I've also got a Parker, which is a bit odd:
