Total Watts

  1. I've seen a similar finish problem repaired. The lifting paint had glue put under it and a vacuum table was used to press the paint back into place.

    Lefty G&L L2000

Back in the early 2000s I owned a lefty G&L L2000. Trans red with a natural binding on the top front edge. Maple and rosewood neck. Gorgeous bass, but found it really heavy. No idea on serial number. Think I partexchanged at a shop not long after. I would love to see where it ended up. If anyone here has any clues, would love hear from you. Cheers Nige

  3. I remember seeing a lefty Carl Thompson in a second hand shop in 88/89 for £600......
  4. How about the Steinberger Spirit XT2? Nothing more eighties than a Steinberger, and pretty cheap.
  5. This isnt the For Sale section.
  6. Im partly responsible for the expansion to Musical Exchanges when they opened the downstairs showroom. I did the building/painting/flooring in there. That's how I got a job in the shop. Brilliant place and atmosphere.

  8. Just heard the whole chain has gone bump......
  9. See you there mate.
  10. Yeah, we predate the Flea/Frusciante Amoebas by a year or so. We even had sime kids come to see us, thinking we were Flea and co...... 😁
  11. If you look up Absolution666.bandcamp.com, you should find us.
  12. We'll probably do a KISS in a few years, so all is not lost. Enjoying the death metal though.
  13. After 33 years, my covers band, The Three Amoebas, grind to a halt. Admittedly we've done naff all for the past few years, with just the odd gig here and there. The band has always been a complete laugh and piss take, doing rock/metal/punk covers the way we want. People have always liked us, possibly because they're usually mates😄. We've been good friends since the eighties, but sort of drifted offvto do other stuff life wise, musically and job wise. The drummer's on Talksport and Planet Rock, and recording his own stuff, the guitarist has his other bands, and I'm doing old school death metal. Our last ever gig is in June. A bit bittersweet, but hey, life goes on.
