Totally agree with Mart, I have a alder body from their Greenline range at 7.5lbs and it’s noticeably lighter than my ash body

It’s a Hipshot BT7 on the Ida bass Sandberg told me to install a D tuner it requires drilling extra holes. The BT7 resembles our design the closest Bass Direct said Sandberg tuners are a specific size and Hipshot don't offer a direct replacement. The Ida Nielsen bass from Sandberg uses an extender and its a BT7

This is the reply I got from Sandberg … There's no way to install a D tuner without extra holes. The BT7 resembles our design the closest

Here’s my two Sandberg Lionel's Blue one is passive and I’ve fitted a EMG Geezer Butler pick up for a more vintage tone. The Cream is two band active / passive and more modern sounding …

Has anyone found a non invasive Hipshot Xtender that fits a Sandberg Lionel. I really want to fit one but want to be able to return it back to standard if I want. I'm really surprised that Hipshot don’t produce a specific one for ‘Bergs maybe a bit niche I guess

Selling my lovely Mikey Way Mustang in immaculate condition don’t think there is a mark on it, no neck pocket cracks, no dings, nowt! It’s fitted with an EMG 35HZ pickup, no modifications were necessary and now has a great pickup and new large pots and wiring, all of the original little pots, pickup and knobs will come with it so could easily be returned to stock (but why the heck would you!!) It now sounds great, the humbucker is now clear and punchy compared to the very wooly original. Even unplugged the bass is resonant and plays really nicely It is now a very usable and gigable bass and looks as cool as fcuk !! The large sparkle is drop dead gorgeous especially under lights

The Performer is a great well made quality bass and plays very well although the addition of the Jazz pup gives a bit more tonal flexibility just looks odd as I added a solid Jazz pup cover and in my opinion works better aesthetically … cracking bit of kit but sort of do agree it’s a bit polite …

Has anyone tried a Palmer Pocket Bass Pre DI ? Review generally seem good, decent price at around £130 https://www.palmer-germany.com/en/products/guitar-amplifiers/5140/pocket-amp-bass

I’m just keeping it simple, Two Notes Le Bass (back up if my amp pops or fancy a bit more grunt) TC Corona Chorus Mini (when I need to get my Duff on) Shure GLXD16+ (best wireless I’ve owned, not a single drop out ever even on large stages) all powered by a Truetone 1 Spot CS6 ….

Would be great to see a couple of pix

I've been using the GATOR PROGO DOUBLE GUITAR BAG for my JMJ, Lionel and Stingray, great quality and very rigid, cracking bag for the money You just need to take out the removable pads at the bottom

Certainly worth looking at the Darkglass Microtubes 500 and 900 amps, they have the B3K and Vintage distortions built in with the ability to blend the clean and distorted tones. They do other combinations of amp and distortion too

I have a Microtubes 900v2 and it has bags of clean headroom on tap with the distortion engine turned off, compression is great too. You can tickle in a small amount of distortion in if you want to liven up your tone with the drive & blend knobs. I’ve found it very good so far and not struggled to tame the overdrive / distortion

I use the Gator G-PG Double Guitar bag for my JMJ Mustang, Musicman Stingray and Sandberg Lionel and all fit safely with the bottom pad removed Great quality bag! Here’s a review on YouTube

In what way do you mean? I put an EMG GZR in my Lionel and now it's my No.1 bass, the stock pup wasn't bad at all just not tone I wanted. I'd happily have another they are superb!
