  1. A refinish is going to cost you £300 (plus the loss in value), so I would just buy a 2nd hand backup for it, where you won't lose any money if you sell it on. The '71 can then sit and carry on accruing value.

When you tie money to instruments you love it kinda kills the mood...Like when you see a good looking girl on the high street, maybe get an erection and suddenly have to start thinking about carpentry or politics to get rid of it.

  2. I loved my A4 and A6, but I was enticed away after playing a Precision Bass (The Sound in My Head) and later upgrading to a Marleaux Consat.

You'll be hard pushed to find something (double soapbar) that will beat them for less than £800.

  3. :( I've had to save Mike Duda's towel a few times and now I've put a fake spider from the Early Learning Centre in it, just in case.

Always buy shirts - Especially if they're £20, as that's not much more than something in TK Maxx.

I forgot my Judas Priest shirts!! I wish I'd stored them in a suitcase, but I wear them all the time.
  4. Just wanted to see what cool stuff people have got from Gigs etc?

    I've got...

A towel and pick from Mike Duda of WASP
A printed canvass signed by Jack Bruce
An album signed by Chris Squire ('Fish out of Water)

and then T-Shirts from the following - Jethro Tull, Whitesnake, Iron Maiden, Bob Dylan, Jack Bruce and Thunder. So not so remarkable.

A friend of mine has Keith Moon's Drumsticks...That's the best I know of.

    What you got?
