  1. I am currently located near Bedford if people want to try before they buy and would also be open to offers. Not really looking for a trade as after a specific bass but you could always tempt me.

Would be willing to meet half way to deliver if distance is reasonable as well.

  2. Recently purchased to get back into bass playing and now got my eye on a rather lovely bass so this needs to go.

Bought for £600 so would like to get as close to that as possible ONO + shipping.

Scratchplate has been drilled for cover and hook rest (the one where you play with your thumb), and one very very minor ding on top of body. About 1mm big and not noticable unless under micro examination.

    Maple neck with block inlays
    3-tone sunburst

Any questions or futher pictures required please ask.

  3. Cheers guys, I thought it seemed quite reasonable, despite not really having much of a grip on gear prices these days.

The neck does have a slight flame to it, will try and take some better photos some time. Need to lower the action on it slightly and its ready to go. Already played for 3 hours today :)

  4. Hi all,

Used to hang around here when it was still bassworld.co.uk. Bought myself a bass again after far too long an absence so will be hanging around once again. Managed to grab an 85/86 MIJ Fender Jazz for 600quid, burst with maple neck, block bindings. Will post pictures when I pick it up next weekend.

Looking forward to GASing all over again :/

    Rich.

Thought I'd add some of my old basses... they may be floating around the forum members still.

Nice looking bass, Im sure some of the southpaws here may be interested.

  6. The body was painted in some kind of car spray orange, had to be hand sanded to clean it all up and found the flame underneath. Neck dots were added by paul from arrowhead who did an outstanding job. Ended up selling it to a member on the old BW forums. Sounded great ;)

  7. From what I remember from when I used to play, I think this might have everything you are after.

but as for reading music, like everything else it is just practice. You might want to get Standing In The Shadows Of Motown and work your way through that as it is in notation only.

  8. Was looking through my photobucket account and came across a lot of stuff I used to own and sadly had to sell as I was a broke student. Really miss some of these basses, mainly the Cort and the Zon.

    Amplification

    Cort GB74

    LTD Edition Buttercream HH Stingray

Zon Sonus Custom 4 5A Maple Top - I would kill to get this bass back, the nicest thing I ever played

    Self Refurbished/Parts Build Fretless

    Moon 5

1984 MIJ 70s Reissue Fender Jazz - another great bass

I can't wait to start my new job and get back into bass playing ;)

    Cheers

I start as an officer in the RAF in March, so as little as possible until then. On the lookout for a beater bass but then going to get myself something nice when I graduate IOT.
