Hate? Not really. Hate with a passion? Not at all, it’s a design and, therefore, somewhat like art, it appeals or it doesn’t and it’s hard to hate an inanimate object. Designs that make me raise an eyebrow, however, there are plenty of those. One of those questionable designs is the Mustang, yet I own one and I love the sound it makes and the way it feels isn’t too shabby either. Whilst looks are important (you’ve got to want to pick it up), they are tertiary to sound and feel.

You can feel and get the best sound of it, but that is not the question. It is about the visual  - do You ''very'' do not like it. That's it.

  2. My history about 5ers - i started with 4 strings precision, then switched to jazzb, but feeled i need something more, i tried out in a shop 5 string j-bass, but didn't feel comfy with the neck. Then was a long years with 5 string fretless Ibanez GWB1005, witch i thought i found my dream bass, but the bolt on neck was so sensitive to different situations and bend too much and often. Finaly 2024 i found my dream bass - Yamaha trb p5ii neck through - perfect tone, sustain, feel and no problems with neck stability.

It was 2022. I ate some pizza, drank a beer, went home, and retired from playing live for the foreseeable future. Pretty easy, really 👍

As i remember my last 6 years gigs, i always thought a little bit of retiring after every beer or whiskey, but next morning i purely rethink - no....i love it, i can do it !!! 😜 To You - it seems like it was really easy for You and You must be proud of Yourself, the big black point was set - You say....You do ! I think Your band mates will always ask You to play some special gigs together again, no matter Your teqnique low down or bad song memories ! 🤘

No, how about you show some empathy in your posts on a topic revolving around health issues on a public forum?

At first....start showing some respect on me, couse you know nothing about My health problems and what $hit i have gone throught, for 20 years, to start controlling my health as a normal human deserves. And there is nothing wrong with quotes i wrote before, just your bad imagination.

Most ideal thing to do mate :) kinda kills the point of being filters

You know mate 😉 filters and compressors sometimes affects alot from bass guitarists brain sizes !

I'd probably ditch the compressor if there's an envelope filter being used, compressors give you less dynamics unless it's got a clean blend on it, and envelope filters respond with dynamics so you won't hear that cut as much if there's a compressor in the chain. My opinion BTW

That is how ended the ''game'' - always turning compresson off when using filter.

    Blue Monday  - New Order

Never before, or since, have a band built their reputation as "musical geniuses" on a single piece of music before churning out a careers worth of bland, forgettable dross.

Also anybody claiming that Hooky was a great bassist needs an intervention...

This song could be good for drunken teenagers who would want to dance a lot, at someones birthday party.

I'm fortunate enough to have a man-cave/studio/office daaaaaaaaaan the bottom of the garden, so naturally have rammed it fully of crap. Does mean that I can blast through the Marshall VBA at full volume or smash the drums to pieces without anyone hearing/caring!

Usually though, it'll be an ACG 6 of some sort through a Helix and into an Epifini UL901 and Bergantino 410. 👍
