I’ve got one next week.....brushed up on the setlist and made cheat sheets just in case. Nerves kick in a bit, but I’m mostly looking forward to playing.

Lucky You, meat patties could be a good addition.

Well that was interesting! A quiet rehearsal! A drummer I haven't met before who put a towel over the snare.

I got to refine my basslines for about eight originals. We jammed a few things, including me and the guitarist (Daz the daffodil) trying to play and sing Child in Time 😱

Aside from that, quite a chilled evening. I  even had  go with a pick.*

*It seems no-one calls them plectrums any more.

Only God knows what is best for a new drummer.🧐

NBD and Ibbys through the decades - just been delivered a 1984 RB840 (fretless). So i now have (L to R) a '77 Silver Series P, '84 RB840, '93 SR1306PD and a '05 RD900NT.  The RB840 is in very good nick for a 41yo bass, the fretboard is almost unmarked, body and neck have no visible dings or buckle rash.

Made a new thread before I saw this one so, I'll share here too - this lil guy arrived today.

Nice valve drive from NL, will be using it more to just warm up a signal when going direct.

This could be a little nice sounding guy.

I have a spring reverb that I bought about 40+ years ago when planning to build a guitar combo.

Always fancied using it... is it a worthwhile effect for bass or does it just add mud?

It could be called - vintage reverb.
