Well, I've done the usual thing that I'm sure many of us have done. Got the board sorted, happy with all the pedals and their order, sounding good and working well, no need to change anything. And then change it.

The old FrankenP'd BDI21 has gone, to be replaced by the Wine Cellar. Why? I just fancied a change, is all. If I find I don't get on with it in practice, I'll have another change. The BDI was a good unit, in fact a great one in its modded state, but I was just curious to see how the Wino would stack up. I'm sure at some point this too might find itself replaced by an A7K or something, but for the moment it's fine.

The only other differences are ones you can't see - switching and LED changes in the Fucupcakes and the black loop.

    What does Fucupcakes do?

  2. When starting to play i did about 3 hours practice in a day - it was ok. I did it about 10 years. After that my hours depend on how much covers should i learn today or learn very hard songs. Today i am ok for 1,5 hour in a day to keep the shape.

It does seam that their are a lot more Americanisations taking over on this side of the pond . Neighbor , mom etc

I try not too get to angry tho. Looks like you payed a lot for that nice base though 😬

I bought it for 1000e at an exhibition in 2004. - where i was sent from my job. I worked as a manager at music instrument and gear shop at my country. It's hand crafted in Italy by luthier D'alessandro.

I often disagree with you @nilorius but you shouldn’t apologise for your command of English. I have IELTS 9 (top score) in English and I know that English is a really hard language to learn second. It’s in a league with Chinese for complexity with a vocabulary twice as large as most other languages. I know a German lady who has been in England 20 years, is married to a Brit and has English speaking kids and she still makes major mistakes

Hey Geek99 !!! Thanks for my english assessment. Though, i know korean pretty good. Anyway - it's ok - cheers !

If it's hurting you it's time to change, after you've done whatever mitigations you can - wide, cushioned strap is the #1 mitigation.  I've owned 12lb+ basses (Gibson RD Artist, Gibson Victory Artist) and the wide neoprene strap (Neotech Mega strap) made them tolerable.

I do enjoy the "grounded" feel of a heavy bass.  I am the centre of my own personal bass black hole.

My english is so bad, i purely understand half of your quote, but any way - thank You. It's not hurting me, i just think after a gig , a guy of different band once asked to check my bass and said - "man, it's heavy".

  6. Hmm...Your opinion. Should i stress on my bass big weight - 6kg. just as it is so heavy or not, but i like the feel, sound and look ?  35'' scale, buck eye burl top back, ebony fingerboard, ash core, maple/redwood neck through, hausell pick up, noll electronics, hipshot hardware, fretless, 5 string. Italian hand made - D'alessandro. Just tell what would You do in that situation. Thanks on any answer!

Happy new member of this club!

Just got my EHB1505 today. Really delighted with it so far. Love the look, it's super comfy neck, and the sound. Plus it's ridiculously light!

It IS freaky superstisous beautiful. The ramp between pickups is cool, too. Modern sound. Good money. Cheers!

  8. I think it really depends what kind of songs are You going to learn. There could be songs very difficult for bass, the next ones - for vocal or for all the band members. I remember situations that my band just considered to take 2 for the next rehearsal, because everybody understood that those will be hard to manage for all members. We just talked over to be ready to play and have a good paper notes. It always ended successfully.
