Before Squier was bought by Fender (in 1965) they only made strings. So I do hope you were joking
Of course! 😉

I think Ibanez had innovation forced on them to a large degree. They started off making Fender, Gibson and Gretsch clones but ran foul of US brands’ legal departments: hence the sought after “lawsuit” models. That forced them into coming up with designs which wouldn’t attract litigation. Ironically, the US brands inadvertently created a genuine mass market rival to their own products by pushing Ibanez to innovate 😀. Perhaps we should all be grateful to Fender, Gibson, etc for that!
I think the greatest Fender clone was Squier (before it was bought by Fender). Why it was legal and official for all those years?

I would love to, but must live with my instruments power on a lot of time and many different and difficult people would be around me.

For a short try, i found that piezzo pickup could give a great intonation especially when playing together with acoustic instruments and brass, not needed for all the time but very usefull at special moments. Anyway i havent tried the instrument with my Aguilar tonehammer and sl112, just on headphones from amp ballanced out to focusrite scarlet. Anyway - impressive.

I think these are some of the best production basses ever. I had a sixer a few years back and it was wonderful albeit the nech was quite substantial for me, both in width and thickness so I sold it in the end, much to my regret.
Congratulations @nilorius!
Anyway, i feel much confortable with this 5 neck than with my Fender Jaco 4 string neck, but it's always different for anyone on earth.

Ha! This made me chuckle I too was a no effect, pure tone guy when I first hooked up with my current singer.
She often reminds me...
Leader vocalists just say - hey (drummer) John, put on me some regular reverb or delay on mixer and let's start rehearsing songs!

If I had a quid for every time I had to do my best Bill Wyman impression to allow admission to the bogs - it's not a bass guitar, it's a manually raised barrier!

wellll........26 now.............but of those 26, only about 4 or 5 are actual keepers :)....The rest are just some I acquired over the years for whatever reason or acquisitions to review on my YT channel with the intent of trading out for different YT content (unless I really really like it)
At mondey i will have 5 total and only one is just for fun, so You are the winner ! Congrats. 😜

May be i am a fool, but i don't understand. This Musicman, 3eq - humbucker + piezo bridge pickup or bass with only piezo pickup. And what do You all think about it, the price, the sound. Can't find the right rewiev.

I love my Longhorn, it's a 90's Korean one, in what is best described as Pinkburst. I wanted one ever since I saw Eric Drew Feldman play one in Beefheart's magic band in NY in 1980. Its sounded immense. Jack Bruce used one, and Entwistle, so that was enough for me. I've had it over 20 years now, and gig it quite a lot, it was my only bass for a Dutch tour a few years ago. It may look a bit woolworths, but it's been very roadworthy, and despite only having a soft bag for it, it remains unmarked. It's ridiculously low weight means it's going to be used more and more now I'm officially old and decrepit.

Here's my Junior Jet, heavily sanded on the back to take about 1cm off the thickness so it now weighs about a feather, and I've finished the wood with a black water-based stain that gives it a plum colouring. Fitted with a TV Jones Thunderblade and a Schaller bridge, a coil-split switch and with my custom
tort plates, it looks and sounds great. I use it as a back up, but really it should be a front line bass as it plays so well; occasionally I take pity on it and give it a front line gig.
Wow....this is real great! 🤘
I'm back.
