1. For Sale is my Genz Benz Shuttle 6.0

It has a great tube preamp section that goes from warm to grindy with ease and the signal shaping presets are useful for getting selected tones at the click of a button.

It comes with the official Genz Benz gig bag and is in excellent condition - pics will be added over the weekend

Can be collected from Wakefield, West Yorkshire or I can meet up an hour or so away. Will consider posting if buyer covers cost

Only trades I’m looking at would be a high end Genz Benz Shuttle or Shuttle Max head

  2. Never thought I would sell this but have been smitten by my TKS S112 cab and with a second one imminent, it's time to let this combo go. It was originally a standard CMD121P (Made in Italy) but I had opportunity to swap out the original head and fit the Little Rocker 500 (also Made in Italy) in its place.

With the tube pre-amp it opens up a greater range of tones and of course it stands out from the crowd (I've not seen another one like it)

It comes with a heavy duty padded cover and is in excellent condition - Am looking for £595

  3. Lakland Bob Glaub for sale in black wth black scratch plate. There's also a white scratchplate included.

Only picked this up recently and it plays lovely but i much prefer jazz profile necks and I,ve seen something I want to buy

It is Korean made with Lindy Fralin pickups. Just a few cosmetic blemishes including a scratch on the rear of the upper horn, an indent on the fretboard after 12th fret and a mark after the 5th fret as per photos. Other than that it"s in very good condition

Look for £475 for the bass.

The bass comes with a basic gigbag but I could negotiate over a case if postage is required which would be at buyers cost.

Collection from Wakefield, West Yorkshire or I could meet up within an hour or so travelling

I've owned three DWs and I personally never had a problem with the tone, through my genz amp it sounds incredible.

Is it actually the individual bass itself isn't right or is Dingwall just not for you? I love the fan frets at the lower frets and grin like an idiot as I'm playin them but I can't chord as easy as with parallel frets at the higher end so it doesn't work for me, obviously for different reasons than you.

This of course is only my humble opinion and input.
i love the bass in terms of its feel and playability. Will take up some of the suggestions, especially the use of the gain switch on the Streamliner I'm running at the moment

Mind you , that new East preamp is 15% off at the moment

I had an Artec EXP installed in my ABZ5 replacing the tone pot, works surprisingly well considering they cost about £20. One way boosts mids but I can't say I like that very much but the other way it boosts treble/bass & I do quite like that setting (tho does add a little hiss on full). Pull up for passive & you bypass the active circuit, also a nice feature is passive mode still works when you take the 9v battery out :)

I've always preferred passive basses but since putting this in I've decided I'm gonna upgrade & put a John East BTB-01 in as I feel my ABZ deserves a higher quality tone circuit. I have no experience with this one but East preamps come highly regarded.

    Hope this helps ...

Let me know how you get on with that - are you going to do it yourself ?

  6. If I pm'd someone expressing interest in an item they were selling then I'd expect the onus to be on me to:

    a. Confirm that I wanted to buy it
    b. Tell the seller when and how I was going to pay

Conversely, I lost out on a item I wanted recently when I agreed payment method and to meet up halfway between locations. The guy was slow in giving me bank transfer details and eventually after 3-4 days told me had sold it to someone who turned up at his house with cash and to quote him 'I couldn't resist that'. I was livid at not being given the opportunity to match those terms and for his slow responses. I could tell he'd been online from his profile so he was ignoring me.

We all know what a difficult market it is for sellers so I'd have to side with the OP on this one. I've bought 2 items from him in the past and they've both been great transactions.
