If this could get itself up to Wakefield I'd be all over it
-
Thanks Joe - much appreciated. I figure we'll walk back to Northern Quarter for a beer or 3
Not fussed about seeing Public Enemy but would like to see Paul Heaton -

We have had very good results using Facebook. After identifying venues we have approached them via our Facebook profile to theirs, and we have picked up a lot of work now that way. Our page has photos, Soundcloud links (forget CDs...), set list etc.
We still get gigs through more traditional methods but we're finding that social media really works for us.

+1 to this method. I 'messenger' the venue and then write a post on their page to tell them I've messaged about gig opportunities. I've a template for the first message and the subsequent ones. You can normally obtain a response eventually even if it's a thanks but no thanks response. It's a numbers game so target as many as you can and keep a list/database/spreadsheet of all your comms
Of course the key to all this is building long term relationships with venues and getting regular bookings.
And always try to get the rebook date on the night -
Our singer has lost her voice overnight and we're having to pull out of a gig tonight at The Drysalters near Elland Road
If anyone can fill the slot then give the guy a call on 07496 362267
We're a rock/pop/indie covers band so something similar would be welcomed. We'd agreed a normal pub rate -

Where are you?
Edited and found you. I'd be happy to collect it.
I'm heading up to manchester in the next week if you want to pick it up from me.
I have feedback here too so I'm not a shifty character! Well not that shifty.

Thanks guys, for some reason I couldn't find this post and didn't pick up these responses. The auction ended with no bids and the bass is up again with and end date of next Friday 19th
So if you're still in the position and happy to help, let me know :-) -

I'm looking at a pj bass on fleabay but it's a collection only option
Just wondered if any kind hearted soul who would consider helping me out if I win it and be able to pick it up, package up and send to me ?
It's coming with a gig bag rather than a case
Obviously I'd pay for all the costs etc 😄 -
Great price for a great bit of kit - have a bump on me
-
Markbass - 3 different presets for both chorus and flange
-
Aguilar Octamizer, very good condition, boxed - £90 including UK postage - pics to follow
-
Set of 4 tuners in top condition taken from my Mex FSR pj
I've only got bushings and screws for 3 of them though

What is it about the streamliner your trying to improve on ?.
[/quote]
Although it's never happened to me, I worry about tube failure ! -
Oh, and I guess it's right to add the Genzler Magellan 800 into the mix. All 4 options are a similar new price
-
Decided to replace my Streamliner 900 and go for a lightweight all solid state amp to run my 2 TKS S112 cabs but am spoilt for choice between:
Mesa Boogie subway
Tonehammer 500
Tecamp Puma 900
Any recommendations ? -

Lovely 2007 anniversary edition Stingray HS4 in Pacific Blueburst with maple neck. One tiny ding on the matching headstock but otherwise immaculate. Classic stingray tone from the humbucker with the addition of a more jazz like single coil and any combination in between. Comes with an anniversary blue hard case.
Priced to sell at £795
Prefer local pickup or halfway meet and might trade for a really nice jazz or a sterling with adjustment as required. -
Lovely u-bass and comes in the semi-rigid case
This is the original model without the eq and built in tuner but it plays real nice and is in very good nick.
Only selling because my sausage don't suit.
Asking £200 and local pickup (Wakefield area) preferred but I could post within uk for £14 -
Selling my Dave Hall twin eq. Really versatile pre-amp with XLR output. I used one channel for a nice warm tone and the other for something dirtier.
Only changed for a Bass Bomb Driver as I wanted quieter switching. Please note - this requires a 12v centre positive feed.
Price £120 includes uk postage
