I'm looking for charts with 5 string scale shapes but can't find any. Is there a website that's good for this sort of thing?

Frog Chorus
Proof that McCartney was not a song writing genius

Happy by Pharrell Williams
Girl On Fire by Alicia Keys
There are many songs I dislike but these two hate with a deep passion.

You two are really edgy.
It's an opinion, I wouldn't exactly describe it as remotely "edgy"

As Mr Dare says, it won't keep up with a drummer but otherwise a perfectly decent amp.
If you're playing with a drummer, you'll want at least 100w

That's OK, there's no shortage of bassists who stick to four (or eight) root notes to the bar.
There's plenty inbetween root notes on the beat and a million notes a minute that doesn't really go anywhere.

Just my own opinion, but isn’t Mr Berthould, genius technician as he may be, a self-promoting PITA and the antithesis of what bands actually need in a bass player?
He's a typical social media musician. Completely over plays and would sound better if he left out 90% of the notes he plays. No groove and always flashy playing over creating something good to listen to

I saw this band at a festival last year and they were awesome. Serious talent on the drums and vocals and nice use of a bass VI

My daughters band (who are really good) have played a few shows in the town center for various town events and twice, Danny Goffey from Supergrass was spotted in the audience. Seth Lakeman has been spotted as well but only the once.

Hello,
Looking for a good and affordable fretless.
My two contenders are :
- EHB1005f : not conventionnal in its look but realy good tone from what I've hard in you tube clips
- And the new SRD905 still quite unknown and not so exciting wit its 2 bands EQ.
Have you got an opinion on those two basses ?
Thanks
The EHB has the same Bartolini pickups as my SRMS805. They're pretty weak and lack punch. You can make it sound good if you have a really nice amp but through a normal amp (like my Ashdown ABM600) it just sounds a bit flat and lifeless. I use so much overdrive that it doesn't matter

I once played in a room next to where Peter Gabriel was jamming with a couple mates. Not sure that really counts.
My daughters bands new guitarist is the son of a very famous folk singer. Does that count? He's really good.

My daughter needs a 5 string for her new metal band and there's a TMB 105 for sale locally for £150. Are they actually any good? Not expecting amazing things but is it nice to play and does it make a decent noise?

Lou Barlow's tone on The Lung by Dinosaur JR, specifically this live recording. The bass is solo at 1:50
I would also like to be able to play like him

Will it be able to bring beers to practice? No? Then my position is safe

My B3K overdrive works fine with the effect engaged but when I turn it off, there's no signal getting through the pedal and out to the amp. It was fine until today.
Is this something that could be repaired? Who repairs pedals?

The other problem with tee shirts is you need a range of sizes.
-
What we found is tee shirts don't really sell but badges and patches do.
People don't carry much cash. They're much more likely to have a few quid than twenty quid in their pocket at the end of a night.

Thanks everyone.

I'm struggling with my P bass in C so I tried using my multi scale XL 37" scale length 5 and it plays and sounds great. I'm only using 3 strings so slackening off the other two to try to avoid over stressing the neck. Should it be OK or am I risking a broken neck?

That'll do nicely. Ta.
Natural minor is about all I'll ever use.
