This track is vaguely reminiscent of Faith No More, with a bit of The Stranglers (Peaches) thrown in.

    Pretty good,  though.

    Definitely some FNM in there.

The quiet, jazzy breaks in between heaviness is very FNM

    This is real music!

I have a particular dislike for that term. What makes something "real music"? What music is not real music? Is it a real thing or just snobbery?

Metal fans are particularly guilty of this sort of thing, arguing over what's real and what isn't.

  3. I've owned a few Sterling Stingrays and played a Sire V7.

I don't think it's a case of one being a better bass than the other, they're different basses which are intended to sound different.

The Sire V7 is more comparable with the Sterling Ray34 in terms of quality although closer to the Ray 4 in terms of price.

The Ray HH models do sound different to the Ray H even when you select just the one pickup. Personally I prefer the single pickup H models.

Playing devils advocate : why not change the precision for an Ibanez or Warwick ,or Schecter ?  You may not need a pedal .🤔🙂

As much as I like my Ibanez, I find the tone straight out of the instrument really bland but it's s really great starting point to build on with effects.

  5. A tuner would make the pedal too big to fit on a board with other pedals. To have a tuner as well, you'd need an extra foot switch and that needs to be a reasonable distance from the other switches or you'll stomp on the wrong one by accident and suddenly the audience gets sad because there's no bass which means they can't dance and then they get angry and start fighting and throwing furniture.

So basically, no tuner for safety reasons.

  6. Why does it have to be your only pedal?

Surely you'll be needing a tuner and then you may as well get a nice overdrive and while your building a board, you best add a fuzz and why not put on a phaser, delay and chorus. I'd probably put an EHX POG on there as wel

  7. I wouldn't want either to be honest. If you want a really decent preamp with a great DI and a really nice gritty overdrive, a huge range of tones then get yourself a Two Note Le Bass or the new Two Notes Revolt.

You can pick up a used Le Bass for around £150

I went to see sunn O))) in Glasgow last month.  Saw hee haw ( it's a Scottish expression) and left after an hour. They seemed to be playing the same piece over two chords.  This was all we were treated to visually.  20240326_204159.thumb.jpg.93cc67defa976971d59ceadabaa4a529.jpg

I saw them in Bristol several years ago. That's kind of their thing. Loads of smoke and even less chords than Status Quo.

I'm not sure they're really doom, it's more like experimental soundscape type stuff.

  9. I've been using the songsterr android app for occasionally incorrect tabs but recently it's stopped scrolling the tab as it plays. Any ideas what I might have done wrong?

You really had a chance to check out Yourself how Fodera single cut feels and sounds ? If it's true - You are a god damned luckey guy. I only saw them once in my nightmare, where Felix Pastorius played at London stadium Donna Lee solo !!!😜

I've not tried one but the sound isn't right for me so even if they feel incredible, I still wouldn't want one. I'd rather a Dingwall Combustion which is considerably cheaper
