  1. Thanks for the info, if I read the links right that supply doesn’t have any 12v ac outputs which is something I def need
  2. Hey everyone, I've been more of a lurker around here lately. I'm in the process of assembling a board for an upcoming tour. I've got a DI that requires 12v AC, and I'm also considering getting a Stomp or HX Effects, which, as you probably know, comes with its own set of power requirements. Any suggestions on a power supply that can handle both of these? From what I've dug up in my research so far, it seems like I might end up back at square one with individual pedals. I had my eye on the T Rex Classic - it covers the AC need and can double up on 2 of the DC outputs. But as far as I can tell, the DC outputs are 500mA shared across the 9 outputs, rather than 500mA each, which I believe the Line 6 gear needs. Thanks, Pat
  3. Advertised on FB but thought I'd try here as well! Bar a small tear on the front of the packing box, everything here is immaculate! Hopefully the photos show this but if you want any more just ask. Including the case and the very useful Bluetooth module this sale includes everything to get you going! Including all the packing materials this phenomenal and under-rated modelling unit is available just in time for Christmas! 😁 According to Andertons you can pick this lot up for £590 new, so £450 the lot is a bargain IMHO... - Now down to £390 Selling as my needs have changed and I'm going for a simpler setup just don't need all that this unit gives me. Collection is preferred but can post if required at buyers expense. Any questions do let me know.
  4. I did seriously consider the Valeton but lookie what I got yesterday Today is a play day
  5. I have an Aguilar Tone Hammer 500 and an SL410X cab which has served me really well. I don't really fancy the Stomp or XL TBH. The XL is £100 more expensive than the Boss GX-100. I also don't want to get bogged down by hundreds of amps and mic combinations. The Boss has 3 good amps and several cabs - that'll be enough for me. Think I've thought enough and just need to bite the bullet and get one!
  6. Its a very fair point and one I've really thought about - it does do pretty much everything I need. 1 - Just thinking a change may be nice 2 - Amp modelling abilities for not much more money could be fun and give options
  7. Problem for me is only the plastic casing. I’d worry about it in every outing. The boss is a lot more robust/roadworthy
  8. Thanks all for the input - especially @T-Bay - it's now a choice of two for me, the GX-100 or a Valeton GP-200 which could save me a couple of hundred! I really did like my HX Effects, such a good and underatered (IMHO) unit for bass players, may be an opportunity now though to delve into the amp modelling world now.
  9. The Octafilter section isn't really flexible enough for my needs - I did consider it though 👍
  10. Hi All - I've disappeared down a MAJOR rabbit hole after my Line 6 HX Effects (which I really liked) broke at a gig. I've been researching new options and not sure where to go next as I fancy a change. The obvious thing would be a Zoom B6 but it looks like a toy that'll break on the first outing with its plastic casing. I mainly used these on the HX - Compressor - Chorus - Octave - Drive - Filter - EQ - Boost I'm heavily leaning towards a Boss GX-100 - has anyone had any experience of that? Thanks Pat
  11. Thanks - I'm playing about and really enjoying the YouTube thing so more stuff coming as I nail down the techie stuff
  12. SE London is my hunting ground.
  13. Hi All - been a bit of a lurker for a while - thought I'd finally say hi. I've been playing for many years in the pubs and clubs in various outfits. In terms of gear... Couple of Chowny SWBs in the arsenal which I love. One with EMGs and another with a Glockenklang preamp waiting to go in. Aguilar TH500 and SL410x Line 6 HX Effects I've recently started a YouTube thing to get another creative thing going (Shameless Link!) Cheers Pat
  14. I can't edit the title at the moment but this is now Pending.... I'll update the listing to reflect when I can...
  15. Bump for new price ** Hopefully this type of bump is ok in these forums! **
  16. It's coming in at 8.5lbs. My other basses are coming in at 10.5 and above so crazy light to me 😁
  17. Hi Andy. 30” scale and passive. The control cavity is very small, you couldn’t get an active circuit in there, and because it’s such a light bass you wouldn’t want to be routing it either. Obviously only my opinion, but I wouldn’t want anyone thinking it’d be an easy active install!! I could take a pic of the control cavity if anyone wants to see…
  18. It's very nice - also crazy light. Just not getting any use so no point hanging on to it.
  19. ** price drop ** I won’t be going any lower than £300 as I may as well part exchange 👍 Hi - Bit of a BassChat lurker here and seeing if I can make a deal on this U5 In terms of trade I'm looking for short/medium scales and I'm open to peoples suggestions - with money either way to make up the difference. Ideally though a Chowny SWB-1 (Pro would be perfect!) or an Ibanez EHB 5 string short scale would really tickle my fancy! The U5 is in basically new condition having sat in the rack unused/untouched for a year! No case and currently strung with brand new Steel Roundwounds Sale includes - Dunlop Straplocks - Comfort Strap - Set of Dunlop Flatwounds (These were taken off the bass to be replaced with the rounds) I don't have the means to safely post the U5 so ideally meeting up but I can hunt around see if I can get boxes to safely post if necessary
