The Fender Stu Hamm Urge Mk1s were a 32 inch scale, available as us version or a simplified Mexican version. Lovely basses. They also had small bodies, about the size of a strat body, which you might or might not like.
The MK2s went to a 34" scale.

The thing with advertising is that when all of them (e.g, supermarkets) do it, the overall balance of customers between them will stay pretty much the same, but all the them will have that extra expense to cover.
However none of them dare not to advertise.
The real winners are the ad agencies.
As for Micheal buble: To me, he typifies all that I dislike about certain singing styles.

You mentioned a case as a possibiliy. If he doesn't have one than this will become a must have if he continues playing. Hard case or a good bag. I prefer a hard case as you can put it in the car and stack stuff on top of it. If I amusing a bag then I always make sure that it's the last thing in.

Having never owned any music recorded by 'Rolfy boy' the thread title does not apply.
But if you are happy to separate a person's actions from their creative output keep on listening to him.
Just to make it clear that I don't listen to Rolf. I only mentioned him because he seemed an obvious ommission from your list.
To be honest he used to be a bit of a hero of mine for appearing to be a nice unassuming person who was very talented in many fields. Not anymore though, for the obvious reasons.

It's all relative. I saw David Coverdale at Ramblin' Man festival in 2016 and I can say even then his voice had gone. He managed 2 songs before going off whilst the guitarists alternated solos for 10 minutes. Then came back on did one song, then guitar solo. That pattern lasted the whole gig. It was quite sad actually.
Not arguing with you as such, but as a general point it is hard to make a diagnosis on the basis of one concert. Anyone can have an off day or be ill. Possibly he should have cancelled the gig if that was the case.
I have no axe to grind here, David Coverdale could bump into me and I wouldn't have a clue who he was.

I don't know where Gibson's head is at to be honest
It's there on the end of the neck (provided you haven't dropped it!)

allowing for the quickest repair ever as all you had to do is change the neck or the body and your instrument was ready to use immediately.

As for Rod Stewart, if there's a more jammy, third rate chancer who has made a career in the music biz I'd like to know. His career is one built on sh***y covers especially The Great American Songbook albums and Soul Book. He just doesn't have to the vocal chops to do these songs justice. I won't hear a good word said for him.
I guess you must be too young to remember the Faces and his early solo albums etc. These are what his career is built on (Suggest you have a listen). The reason he could do the stuff you mention (where I tend to agree with your opinion) is because he already had a career as a serious, distinctive and talented rock singer.
Personally I'd say that the low point of his career was the" Baby Jane"/"Do you think I'm sexy" era. and I think he tends to agree.

Trust me mate, a Hi-mass bridge won't get you there, you need either a 35" scale neck, a multi-scale neck, or a some kind of sustain pedal.
Or a keyboard!

Surely Kanye West's cover of Bohemian Raphsody at Glastonbury blasts all these other suggestions into insignificance!

That's definiitely a faulty amp.
The source of the noise might well be on your mains, but in order to earn its CE mark the design must have passed a test in which noise is introduced into its supply and isn't affected by it. Similarly the amp must not emit anything that might upset your TV or pacemaker.
I wonder if it's just an intermittent fault that makes it behave in the shop. It'd have to be a pretty big noise source to affect it that badly and nothing else in your house seems bothered by it.
To be fair the regs only (an can only) specify noise immunity up to an agreed level. They do not require absolute immunity to any level of noise (e.g. you'd not be suprised if you were running it next to an arc welder!). To me it does sound as if the environment might be a cobtributing factor.

Just to update you all:
Four rehearsals in and I've decided that it really isn't for me and have resigned. The decider was that I just wasn't getting the buzz from it that I should have been.
Now looking for a Bluesy/classic rock sort of band to join.
