  1. A 24 fret bass has 40 different notes on it. A fretless bass has 351 different notes on it. If you want to pretend your fretless is limited to 40 notes, put lines on it. Bit of a waste though. #nofretsnolimits 😂😂
  2. Absolutely man! As it stands I'm probably using it in the simplest way 😁
  3. TL:DR, It allows for multi-band compression. Have you ever set up a compressor so it nicely, gently compresses your G string, only to hit your low E string and have it be compressed to oblivion? Basically, the Tyler is a High Pass Filter and a Low Pass Filter, with FX loops out of each side. The high pass feeds the Hyper Luminal, only compressing frequencies 550Hz and above. The other feeds the MXR M87, only compressing frequencies 350Hz and below. By setting it like this, the 12db/Octave roll off of the filters acts as a natural mid cut around 462Hz, which cleans up some mud...just by default of how filters work I guess, but obviously the frequencies are adjustable. Takes a bit of tinkering to get the settings right, but it works unbelievably well. Hand wired in Germany too, so it's well made!

  5. They are pretty good. In terms of how it plays, it only takes a few minutes to get used to. The main idea is maintaining consistent string tension for all the strings. Basically stops the low B string being all floppy. A bit unnecessary on a 4 string (unless you're playing with downtuned strings), but I don't think I'd ever buy another 5 string without a multi scaled neck now!
  6. When I put the Darkglass Tone Capsule in, I wired beyond the Blend and Volume pots and didn't actually looks at the wires coming out the pickups. There are actually only 2 cores coming out of each pickup though, unfortunately.
  7. Don't know actually, Bartolini BH1's. Maybe?
  8. I mean, that would be genius haha. However, the Darkglass chip itself is a bit of a chunky boy, so the space in the back cavity is so minimal now, probably not an option sadly!
  9. True! Probably the easiest choice. Thanks!
  10. So I've just put a Darkglass Tone Capsule in my Ibanez, naturally it now sounds a hundred times better. Just wondered if anyone had any novel suggestions to fill the 2, now redundant holes. Cheers!
