  1. Photos don’t do the colour justice, I would say a light metallic purple is a better description, and so much more manly!
  2. I got this a while ago for an acoustic project that never got off the ground. I looked for a long while to find an acoustic 5 string that had the right tone and feel. This comes with its super quality gig bag, original branded leather strap. It is equipped with a Fishman pre-amp and sounds great acoustically or amped. You can get a great DB sound out of this. It is in pretty much new condition as barely used and has been living in its case for a while. Realised that I won’t be using it any time soon so would rather it got some use with somebody that would appreciate it.
  3. Hi, No, haven’t touched the truss rod as the action is perfect. It is basically as new, will have to check weight, but it isn’t a heavy bass. Cheers Stuart
  4. Just to push this over the line, £300, or £325 delivered to mainland UK or I will keep it, because it is a lovely thing to have around! (Looks on Amazon for another wall hanger!) I got this recently in a trade, and it is spectacular, if you want the James Jamerson thing, this is it. The neck is superb. The colour sublime. My problem is, is that it doesn't fit in with the music I am currently playing live. It is in excellent condition, wearing Detroit flats (I have also got a brand new set of Detroit flats I will throw in). It comes with it's original gig bag in good condition, also has it's original strap, which has some wear, but very little. https://www.basscentre.com/bass-collection-detroit-bass/bass-collection-detroit-bass-purple-haze.html#:~:text="Lightweight%2C resonant and extremely versatile,super-affordable price point." I was surprised by how nice these are, the fit and finish is really good, the playability is fantastic.
  5. Hi Guys, Around 8lbs, also see attached really useful video, also worth mentioning I upgraded the knobs to decent ones, didn't like the plastic originals.
  6. Its what they supply as a finger rest, because of the angle of the pickups. Easily removable.
  7. Hi All, I have an immaculate EHB1005SMS, short/medium scale headless bass. Light and easy to play, great tones and playability. I have replaced the plastic knobs with metal upgraded ones and added some fretlook stickers (easily removable). Comes with original Gigbag. https://www.ibanez.com/eu/products/detail/ehb1005sms_1p_01.html These have great reviews and for good reason. I am moving back to full scale so up for trades with anything Ray related.
  8. Since getting back into playing I needed to get my playing ability back up and I found that short scale really helped, so much easier and lighter to play, now with a few more gigs under my belt I am transitioning back to 34" scale. I have a few basses up for grabs, all in excellent almost as new condition. Here is a surprisingly good Stingray short scale, (30") 4 string bass, a lovely looking white Ray, super playable, great tone, as new. Based in Hereford. These fit nicely in a standard Fender guitar gigbag, I have a couple of brand new ones available for an extra £25 if required. https://intl.sterlingbymusicman.com/products/stingray-short-scale?variant=42701055754452

This is a spotless Sire U5 30" scale 4 stringer, super playable, great tone, fitted with a new set of flatwounds and some nice aftermarket knobs. These are sensational basses and at this scale uber easy to play. Based in Hereford. These fit nicely in a standard Fender guitar gigbag, I have a couple of brand new ones available for an extra £25 if required. Here is a review off this very website!
  10. Last Medium scale to go, BH special price of £225.00 collected or £250.00 delivered to mainland UK! If no interest it goes in the loft! I have a few basses up for grabs, all in excellent almost as new condition. Here we have a lovely Ibanez SRMD205 Medium Scale 5 string bass, in a stunning metal flake sparkly blue! 12. I have recently acquired a lovely Sterling Ray35 which I absolutely love, great tone, gorgeous neck, but it is let down by some very cheap and nasty tuners. I am looking for upgrade options if anyone has any suggestions? Possibly Hipshot HB6C;s? Many thanks Stuart
  13. Great gig at Gordon Bennetts in Hereford, capacity crowd, dancing all night, everything s gig should be!
  14. Just bought a nice Ibanez ATK from Patrick. Good comms throughout, nice easy transaction. It arrived packed to withstand a nuclear warhead!

  16. Thank you oldslapper! Very kind sir. It is a great bass, I have moved to shortscale otherwise would keep it. Would have happily gigged it anywhere.
  17. I have had this a while and it is a very capable active 5 string. When I bought it it had a bit of damage on the back of the guitar, doesn't affect playability in any way, purely cosmetic and as it is at the back no-one sees it! I put a little black paint on it and it has never caused me an issue. The bass plays well, sounds good and is a great back up bass for a gig, or main gig bass for those gigs you don't want to take your £3k pride and joy too.
  18. A great fretless 5 string, in as new condition, barely used, doesn't fit with current bands musical style. Lovely instrument to play.
