Anything Warwick is a superior product. I just gave away my Warwick Streamer. it  was a beautiful bass with an incredible sound. I hadn't played it in years so I passed it on to someone who'd appreciate it. :)

Got any more lying around 🤣

  2. I use a Rode NT1-A (bought from this very parish) with a Focusrite Scarlett 4i4 and they work great, both are highly regarded in the home recording industry.

The Rode is a condenser mic that excels at vocals and both acoustic/electric guitars. For electric and basI i do go direct into the 4i4 though, find it much easier and the results are way more consistent in my smaller studio room.

  3. Selling these lovely Labella 760FL flats (The 3rd set I've tried in the past couple of years!) as I've realised that no matter how much I love the sound, the feel and string tension just isn’t for me. Back to the rounds! 😀

The strings themselves are in excellent condition and have only been on my precision for a few weeks, theres a small amount of fraying on the headstock end silks where the string goes into the tuning post but this should be hidden when the strings are installed.

These have been cut for standard Precision scale length…

  4. Selling my Markbass Compressore as it's too big to use alongside my BDDI Deluxe and a few other pedals that I want to keep now that I've finally got round to getting a pedalboard.

Everything works fine, it's in good condition and as the compression itself is provided by the valve circuit it's got a fantastic warm, full sound.

Comes with a dedicated power supply I had to buy as this pedal requires a 12v dc supply with a minimum current of 600ma.

Am open to trades for another compressor in a smaller package - Something like a Cali76, MXR 87 or Empress Compressor would be ideal with cash going either way if the right pedal comes along.

I don't have the original box but it will be well packed. Also has velcro on the bottom.

Looking for £120 posted - Payment via BACS or PayPal please. Any questions please ask.

    Thanks for looking,

    James

  5. Bought a pedalboard from Michael - absolutely brilliant service, he was super quick to reply to my PM, posted next day and arrived very well packed and super quick too.

A great guy to deal with, highly recommended Basschatter 😊

Hi all, just to say I haven't forgotten this design but I've not been well. Recovered now, but I've lost a couple of weeks and I'm behind with everything. It's going to be a few weeks catching up before I get time to re-visit this. I know a few people are revving up and ready to go but if you are patient it is still coming

    Glad you're feeling better Phil!

  7. Also, there should be a layout with the kit that gives you the location of each component and it’s orientation if it’s polarised.

Judging by the questions you’re asking I’d definitely have a read of Fuzzdog’s pedal building guide before you start. Some of it only applies to the kits they sell but there’s loads of good info on the basics that will help you a lot.

    Your can find it at…

Well, you're going from a completely disassembled state to a completely assembled one, and doing it yourself, so yes. The next step is to be @disssa, deconstruct an existing design, design your own PCB, and build that. Next stage from that is to get a copy of Horowitz and Hill and any relevant IC design documents and design your own effect from the ground up. I suspect that even the most dedicated purist would stop short of manufacturing their own components, so that's about as DIY as you could get.

I’m going one step further. Currently investing in my future pedal endeavours by planting trees for carbon, mining ore for metal and have a couple of silicon and germanium saplings ready for planting out - It’s the only way you’ll get the authentic tone 🤪

Ooooh nice, I’ll be watching with interest as I was looking at the vong filterung a few weeks ago. Is that the same kit or a different one?

Some rack rigs through the years. Like many I loved them for the ease of setup and hated them for the bulky carry. I still have and use the mixer rack right at the end but everything else is gone.

The overhang of the racks on those cabs is making me twitch 😆

so unlikely to be friendly on a pedal board would be a fair estimate?

Not necessarily, if you’ve got a couple of power sockets within easy reach of your pedal board you can plug the mains powered pedal into that and your pedal board supply to the other one.

Or just do what I do and use a 4 way extension cable to sit behind the board and power both the pedal and board from that keeping the leads nice and short. I’ve got a T Rex power supply for most pedals and a separate supply for the Markbass Compressor as that has specific power requirements.

This one is about cassoulet, which is French beans and sausages (I would advise against comparing it to Heinz beans and sausages in French company unless you want to invoke an angry and hilarious French meltdown) - The music video is pretty trippy.

That is quite the video, think a few chemicals might have been ingested during the making of that 😂

    Trade Me special.

    “mains power wired in”

what does this mean? No battery?

Yes there's no battery option, the pedal is powered by a built in cable that plugs directly into a plug socket so is being powered by the mains voltage. The pedal will have some voltage protection/reduction such as a step down transformer built into the circuit.

I think mains powered pedals are normally built that way due to specific voltage requirements or they need more current than most power supplies can offer.

  14. One of my favourite instrumental tracks ever, a Serge Gainsboroug title track from the Cannabis soundtrack.

Also love this song by the Beastie Boys 1994 record Ill Communication which was basically the soundtrack of my teens. I quite often play along to this with a nice fat fuzz tone.

  15. Bought Colin’s programmable Sansamp Bass DI. Very well packaged, super fast delivery and in amazing condition. A top guy to boot as well, what more could anyone want 😊

Thanks for the offer, at some stage I want to update all the old designs with a standard format to make it easier for people to build without having to trawl all through the old threads. I may get back to you ;)

I was thinking that would be a good idea Phil, especially as a couple of them are only available as low res images

  17. It’s weird as playing bass/music is my favourite hobby and I only have 1 bass which I obviously use for everything. I do like other kit, and do look at other basses with an eye to getting another one maybe a stingray or jazz but I know in reality I don’t need it and I’m happy with my precision.

I also play club cricket and have literally gone through more bats than I care to think about, sometimes several a season.

What that all means I have no idea 😂
