1. Just bought a Ray34 which is a carbon copy of the SR4 I used to own and sold on. Here's the strange thing - it feels a bit better to play than the USA SR4 I had. Also (and it's early days, i've not gigged it yet), it doesn't seem to have the brittle top end mine used to have. It's a bit weird buying a copy of the bass you used to own though - think I'm going Back To The Future.

I was very interested in ther recent live video which was basically them in awesome underwear. Even the bass players equipment did NOT distract me.
Hey Tom - just a thought. Don't spose you fancy straight swapping this for a Trace Elliot head do you? An AH300-12. Don't use it, since I got my Hartke.

  4.
Anyone remember the music shop that used to be along the A30 in Camberley up by the old cinema. It got burnt down under suspicious circumstances. I think one of the guys who worked there/part owned it, an older bald guy went and opened Intune Music in Little Sandburst.
Know the place you mean. It was called Music Makers, I think.

  5. Recommend a Rode NT1A. £100 buys you a great condenser mic that seems to work really well with home recording. Really fresh, crisp warm sound.

People on here will know more about this that me, but a good pre-amp apparently can make a real difference to the overall sound.

Try setting the mic up inside a wardrobe full of clothes. Seems to be a good way to get a nice dead sound.

+1 I try to go to smaller places now. Went to see Shed 7 on Sunday at the Bristol Academy. Great small venue and the sound was really good. Band were on top form too. Great energy and musicianship. Great tunes too. Recommend catching them before they finish the current tour.

  7.
I am not wanting a 'kids in a sweetie shop' free-for-all 'wanna see some pics!' time waste, so please ask 'do you have a ...' rather than 'pics of everything, please!'
Wins the prize for the strangest 'For Sale' ad. How about putting a pic and a price of the stuff you want to sell? :)
