Hei Jen,
I've assumed that probably I was wrong....anyway thank you for clarifying
I've tried more than 20 Smiths and for sure the playability the 80 series is unbeatable.
...and your bass is absolutely superb.
I've a BT4-86.
I thought that all Smiths of this era were through neck and with concentric treble and bass + pan + vol and without switches...
But, I suppose, I'm wrong....
Can you, or someone, clarify me on this please
Thank you
Long time I've putted those for sale. Sold the Celinder and kepted de Alembic. But if interested, I'm opened for sale it or trade.
Thank you for your interest
Hi Luc,
Thanks for the compliment.
I' don't know if those are the Rogue electronics. But in fact you are right in a point...they are not standard. The bass is upgraded with Europa electronics: Vol/pan/tone + Hi Filter swicht + Low filter swicth + middle frequencies (3) swicht.
Hi Manu, thank you for your question. I don't have a scale but I'll find a way to get one and specify the weight of the 2 basses
W_joe, thank you for the compliment
This breaks my heart. No chance, have to sell the Celinder and the Alembic.
Celinder Update J5 upgraded with John East Deluxe preamp
35”
Ash body
Maple neck and fingerboard
Beautiful grain
Incredible low action and for sure the more versatile bass I ever tried. It’s quite explosive the combination of Celinder building quality with recognized versatility of the John East Deluxe Preamp. Also in passive mode the sound is huge. In practical terms you can go from impressive Jaco to Miller with all the intermediate tonal nuances you can imagine.
Excellent condition. Very small issues on the back of the neck and in the headstock (so small that can’t be catch by photos) but I have to refer them. 10.8 lbs.
There is (I deduct) a cigar burning on the headstock (photo). It was cleaned and disguised (by the previous owner) with I kind of mass (well done job).
2500€ is what I think a fair price for a quick sale + shipping
Very good case, not original. It will be delivered with a new set of Dr Hi Beams.

Many thanks for looking
Your observation is correct. I've checked some spalted maple tops and are completely different from that one. Sorry for the mystake. I don't know how to describe the top. When I bought the bass from Bass&Beyond it was described as AAAAA Spalted Maple Top.
Hi,
Trying to have all the basses in the same place to take a family pictures and send to you.
