Cheers for that WH. I also seem to be known as everyone's uncle.

Well hello there.
I'll be not too far away from you tonight as it happens. Togston Social Club, North Broomhill - depping with a set of youngsters. In fact I think I'm old enough to be their grandad -
Great work Rich.
Puzzled - how will the earth from the bridge travel to where it should go? -
Splendid turnout today - lots of quality gear, not least the TKS cabs....mmmm.
As usual, many thanks to our [s]genital[/s] genial host Michael, wateroftyne -

So what's that handle made of then?
Handolium - exclusive to TKS. -
I've been there.
The chef is very innovative and reckons his unique recipes signify that hotel cuisine is entering a new food era. -
PM'd. Been indisposed for a few days.

On joining Basschat I automatically disliked anyone who didn't like the sort of things I liked but after dealing with many of them I found them quite likeable but still didn't like the fact that they disliked the things that I liked.

Cheers Nigel,
I certainly don't mind your sharing the pics and stuff over on Talkbass but I wouldn't feel too comfortable about sending fairly delicate plastic shapes over the pond - I may get a Jimmy C reputation if one arrives scratched!
Perhaps it will be sufficient to share the info so that guys there can simply follow what I've done and be just as capable in producing their own. -
No problem in making a left-handed version of a Jazz guard - I'll just need to use a mirror when doing it

Can you make me one of these for my custom P, Uncle..?
I certainly can.
Many thanks Nigel for your patience and for (unknowingly) being the guinea pig - first time I've tried this format and a bit of trial and error was involved. -
Apart from a real '57 having reverse-turning tuners, aluminium pickguard, top-loading only bridge, never blue, maple neck........
it's exactly what a '57 looks like. -

One of my finest moments:-
The legend of the bass guitar - that's ME on the right (and Leo Fender on the left).
I'm telling him that the pickup on the Stingray was uneven and he gave me some stick-on magnets to level things up somewhat.
Next thing is he takes my advice and produces adjustable pole pieces on G & L basses. -

How do I get hold of him? Website/prices?
Hullo -
I have an 83 plate which I offered to have sprayed gold but I can also do the 'gold backed by black plastic' option. Forgot to mention that to Nigel.
PM for a competitive quote if required -

I ordered it from The Bass Doc during his build,
I dont think its a genuine fender item
Feel I should chip in here - it is a genuine Fender part -
Pickup bought from Alan in as smooth a deal as one could wish for.
Top bloke. -
Whether or not you like Elton John check out the fretless sound on Nikita.
(not to mention the rather tasty girl playing the part in the video..... "tasty girl?".... I told you not to mention it). -

I believe that the j-pup in my 77 precision is a dimarzio model j, seems a great match to the original pickup.

Yep, probably one of mine Matt -
I've had good results using a DiMarzio model J in the bridge position when fitting quite a few to 70s Precisions at the time this mod was kind of an acceptable thing to do

Not sure if Spectre Sound still exist in Bingley. Maybe try a phone call - details on the net.

James Blunt lends himself to limericks better than Mozart.

Well, I thought it was funny... (Searches for rhyme)

OK, Here you go.....
A performer whose name is James Blunt
Made an album with his face on the front
And then on the back
Instead of each track
Was another big pic of the............
"Can't think of a rhyme there Lurcio...." -
The Pino is just a copy of an old P-bass Uncle Horrid found for a certain P-player for a few quid
Yes as far as I remember it was an ordinary 60s Precision (as far as pre-CBS Precisions can be called ordinary). It was/is a re-fin.
Daft thing is if I had kept it I would be struggling to get 3£K for it in the present market but shudder to think what the deal would be should the man himself put it up for grabs.
Uncle Horrid.
