Dunlops. Range of strap pins as well to use on the original screw hole.

IIRC it's an 18V power supply. Valve may need changing also? Most common problem is normally a loose solder connection.

Scott Weiland for sure.

Fat Beams to me are pretty much identical to Hi Beams, even tension and feel. They have a little more mid content and a little less brightness.

I think people are getting confused with good musicians vs good rhythm sections.

STPs rhythm section is criminally underrated -

I'll go against the grain and say pearl. Everyone has used tort for a sunburst and never pearl. Pearl has that shimmer when the light hits it.

You don't shop at Asda because of the music? Must be wonderful in your world! 😄

i have plates to sell, with a thick layer of celluloid. I'm using one myself now on my own P bass. Apparently they fit a US and MIM perfectly according to reports from basschat members, and fit a VM pretty well too. See the pictures below that they have kindly taken the time to post.
dark brown early 60s style or later-style mid brown
NB There is a sheet of plastic film on them, but you can see the depth of the top layer.
£16.50 each plus postage at cost (2.95)
I'm happy to use BACS or Paypal, but would appreciate not getting fees
I have a few dark brown Jazz plates with screws, that Norris was kind enough to try on his MIM jazz for me (I don't own one any more) - he said they fitted fine. £18 for those, with screws
Ead advises me that whilst very pretty, they do NOT quite fit the '96 MIK Squier 50th Anniversay Bass as the original is very slightly larger.
I'm happy to send you one on a Fit or Return basis, provided that you send it back in the original state.
thanksDo you still have any Jazz plates for sale?

sent them an e-mail end of february, asking about tension of their strings and possibility of making me a 4-string BEAD set as balanced as possible. never got a reply.
few weeks ago sent them an instagram DM about not receiving any reply from them. again no reply.
was my question that stupid or they do not care about selling their product?
String makers are funny about tension for some reason.
I would go with 130-105-80-60 for balanced tension.

I have a tiny pedal set-up consisting of three 1590a pedals. I'm looking for a very small pedal board that will hold these - any ideas?
The Pedaltrain Nano was way too big!

I just picked up an Orange Burst for peanuts and really am enjoying it so far. Are the controls bass cut only and treble boost only or am I imagining that?

I used to frequent jam sessions but once I started arriving and there were already three or so acts booked to play before anyone else, I realised it was then a gig and stopped going.

Does ageing your pickguard in tea count? Guilty as charged! 😎
-
That's how I do it - measure, bend, cut, wind. Cutting a string straight is asking for trouble.

More of a query than an actual question.
How many bass players gigging use a DI pedal/pre EQ DI to send a signal to the FOH and then use their amp as a separate stage sound? OR do you just send a post EQ DI signal instead?
Would like to hear your views on this.

Amazon Global - I'm guessing this is an attempt to destroy every reselling business on the planet?
So if I go for Amazon Global you get:
If however, I go for my normal provider: www.stringsdirect.co.uk
So how are UK vendors going to stay in business? £25.96 versus £33.99. 23.5% saving.
Depressed.

Why are DR strings $20 in the States yet nearly double that here?

I use DR Fat Beams and occasionally Hi Beams. Fat Beams are great strings.
-
Update: I soaked it in tea for 48 hours and it has the slightest of yellow tints now - perfect!

For a basic DI check out Orchid. Read the reviews - they are v. good and won't break the bank
Just saw their Micro DI box for £29 - do you have one? Interested in purchasing one for gigging.
