It's all down to personal experience, but I have been using Schaller Straplocks for 35 years now and never had one fail on me. The only set of Dunlops I've ever had broke after less than 6 months use.

On the flipside, I've used the same pair of Dunlops for the last 10 years with no issues... countless guitarists I've played with who use Schallers were always having problems.

  2. Got hold of a Spark Booster last month and can't believe what a sleeper this pedal is! Perfect for edge of valve break up and very minimal colouring to your original tone. I set it, turn it on and leave it for the rest of the gig. £40 new right now from GuitarGuitar!

  3. Has to be Phil Lynott - one of the true greats when it comes to bass playing frontmen and an iconic bass that was easily recognisable. Thin Lizzy were ahead of their time and if it wasn't for Lynott holding down a solid rhythm section, the twin guitar attack could never have happened.

I like to dig in quite a lot when I play bass. I currently play a Fender P bass because I love the warm fat round tone, but I feel it can lose quite a lot of that impact and sustain when you pluck the strings really hard. I feel like you get the best out of it when playing more lightly. So my question is, what basses are out there that people feel work really well and still pack a punch and keep their bass-iness and fat sound even when you're plucking really hard?

    Raise your action?

Seriously, what sort of question is this?

  5. Just doing a bit of maintenance on my pedals; normal things such as tightening back plates & knobs, securing velcro/rubber feet, screwing down any loose input jacks, contact cleaner on footswitches...

I get to my Green Russian Muff and it was shipped with a battery which is still inside, two years expired! Fortunately, the battery hadn't leaked and it was still in one piece. Just a word of warning for anyone who has purchased an EHX pedal recently.

Nope, cant stand A Forest, where’s the remote?  Thats me out. I have bad memories of having to play this in my first band, 15mins + version.

Why are you even watching then? It's a Cure classic, of course they are going to play it. Band isn't there to tailor to your needs, even though by the sound of it, you don't even like the band?
