Is a one-man band considered to be a band?

Noel Gallagher (who he?) makes an interesting point here even though he rants off a bit, but the point he made was about control, it's easier for "music management" to control a single artist than it is to control a band who may internally discuss and then resist the "do this do that" pressure that is applied to them. As many have said here, there are some great bands around but just in the mainstream media view.
Noel is usually good value in interviews

the Beatles had great songwriters, that's the difference, if you're going to compare todays successful artists with those of yesterday year Elvis would be nearer the mark

I had the same issue a while back.
I ended up having to create a new account as I couldn't get through to anyone.
they have acknowledged the email, so fingers crossed, the reason I went on was to see if any of my posts had any replies, so I didn't want to create a new account

it's been a while since I logged on, just tried and whatever I do, including contact us, it sends a password reset to a discontinued email address,

some obscure stuff isn't on Spotify but it's usually to be found on Youtube, would I prefer people to buy my bands music in a physical format? absolutely, but unfortunately most people stream there music these days, the Genie is out of the bottle, and it's making recording new music uneconomic for small bands like us

It does depend on the driver, the one that usually delivers to my house is very reliable and friendly, I've sent stuff via EVRi as well as the the drop off shop is just round the corner from me, never had any problems

we've got a similar set up, Yamaha EMX 512 power amp with Wharfdale titans we use just for vocals and maybe bass drum, done a few outdoor gigs, exactly the same setup outdoors as indoors, works fine.

In terms of producing stereo from a mono input, you fake it!
Basically, you put the mono signal onto tracks 1&2, then phase some (or all of the frequencies slightly differently (i.e add a microdelay). But luckily, there's many plug-ins that'll do this for you so it sounds reasonably realistic - frinstance, I usually use Imager in Ozone 9. It does the microdelay-at-frequencies thing, and allows you to "stereoise" further. It does this by using the concept of "M&S" (not Marks and Sparks, but Middle and Side or even Mittel und Seite as if was invented in Germany!).
In this, M= track 1 + 2, S = track 1 - 2 so S is the difference between the 2 tracks. In that way you can make something more stereo by boosting S, then recombining to make tracks 1 and 2 (i.e. (M+S)-(M-S)= 2M+2S).
As for "point stereo" in-ears, they may work using "binaural" rather than straight stereo.
In ordinary stereo, you record with a pair of crossed mics, i.e both in the same position but ends about 1-2" apart. In binaural, mics are placed the width of a human head apart - the idea being that it gave a more natural reproduction of space, especially with headphones and was popular in the 60s and 70s...
I sort of get all that, my point being is there any point in faffing around with stereo for IEM, a lot of effort, and money, for negligible improvement, as long as you can hear yourself and what's going on with the rest of the band, it's job done

depends if that's all a band does, rather like a 'tribute' naming themselves so it leaves in no doubt who you are a tribute too, in this case, if all the band does is slow blues with long guitar solos then yes, keep blues in the title, if not, drop blues from the name.
Reminds me of a conversation I had with a fellow bass player many years ago, "What's your band called then?" I asked, "ZZ Birmingham he replied", "ZZ Top covers band then?" I asked, "No, we don't do any ZZ Top songs"
Another band I knew called themselves Two Guitar Clash, after a Stiff Little fingers obscure B side because they did a lot of SLF songs, of course your average punter thought they did Clash covers

there was a similar thread not long ago, I replied
I've got a laptop, use a Behringer UM2 audio interface, load any song into the audacity app (free) you can slow it down or change key, if required, then play along using headphones

I don't think I've ever got through a gig without at least couple of mistakes, it's usually lack of concentration, normally I don't think anybody notices but the last gig we decided to do the Specials Rat Race for the first time in ages, I got completely lost and couldn't get it back until the second chorus, even the drummer said it was messy

So I'm in the pub and someone has left a Daily Star on the table, so I have read, as you do, there's John Lydon giving it some about the Pistols doing gigs without him, oh dear, that hasn't done his ego any good

never really considered a 5, guess it depends on the style of music you play, not many punk bassists use a 5 string, I avoid playing anything below a G on the E string anyway, for instance I usually play F or F# on the D string seems to cut through better, to my ears anyway

went to see Black Water County at the Bodega in Nottingham on Saturday, packed small venue with mosh pit, very lively and enjoyable, all of a sudden a drum stick hit me in the face and broke my glasses 😡, which took the shine off the evening somewhat

one of my Trace amps thumps the other doesn't, I always assumed it was some sort of capacitor fault, it's never damaged the speaker
