  1. I gave him three weeks to research it. I didn't think I was being too impatient
  2. No, I haven't left him any feedback
  3. Yeah that’s the one. “Refurbished”, yeah exactly. He’s a bottom feeding chancer.
  4. The listing stated he could ship it as does the relisting. Why do you think I’d expect it to be shipped when it wasn’t offered in the listing? The listing includes this plus a link to a courier. We can ship this item worldwide via UPS courier - fully tracked and insured to your door. We can usually ship next day in the UK.
  5. I bid on a Trace Elliot AH300SMC. Starting price was £150 and I was the only bidder so I "won" it. Emailed the seller for a shipping quote and had nothing back. I gave him the benefit of the doubt and left it a couple of weeks but then noticed it had been relisted for £200 so I messaged him again for a shipping quote. Again had no response so I reported him as a non performing seller. Then all on the same day I got this "We have many used amps and items at various conditions of use. This amplifier is one of the higher quality items" followed by a shipping quote, then he cancelled my bid. The Trace is in good nick but these things don't sell for big money. It's currently got no bids and the auction ends today so he's probably shot himself in the foot. Can he now report me as a non payer? Not expecting a solution really, just having a rant.
  6. Could never get into Zep or Sabbath but have always loved DP since a copy of 24 Carat Purple appeared in the house courtesy of my older brother. IMV Ian Gillan in his prime had one of the greatest voices in rock music. There’s an interesting read here that touches on why Purple never reached the same heights as Led Zeppelin. https://www.quora.com/topic/Deep-Purple-band?ch=10&share=1868d6a3&srid=D9y7G
  7. Very nice. They call it Salmon pink but it looks more like Fiesta Red to me, an Orangy sort of red. It may just be down to the photos and lighting. What does it look like in the flesh?
  8. Thanks for all the replies. Lots of helpful stuff here.
  9. Thanks, Yes I'm currently learning a load of new songs for a band, first time I've played for 5 years or more. Last time I was gigging, before life intruded, I would know 40 or 50 songs at any given time but without really understanding what I was playing. I understood basic scales and stuff, but not all the different note positions on the neck or the relationships between scales and keys etc. I was also able to improvise to a certain extent and write lines for original songs but I always felt limited. I can listen to certain players, Stevie Wonder's guy for instance, or Jamerson or Bob Babbit, and be knocked out by what they're playing and how they thought of it in the first place.I guess knowing the fretboard is the first step.
  10. I think that’s enough to be going on with 🤓
  11. So I'm returning to the bass after a few years of not picking it up due to not enough time, children etc. I want to start from scratch rather than falling into the same bad habits and practice patterns as before so I'm starting by learning scales properly. I'm currently on major scales, but what should I concentrate on? Major, Minor, Dorian, Mixolydian? What are the most commonly used? I would also like to be able to read. I understand the notation from playing the Flute and Violin as a child but I can't sight read on Bass. Any advice much appreciated.
  12. Hi Gianni, Read your PM in an alcoholic haze last night and this morning cannot for the life of me find it. In answer to your question, I’d really rather not ship this, but thanks all the same
  13. So much so I’m having second thoughts about selling it 😢
  14. It’s a USA made bass and is the Original 60s series. Bought at PMT in Portsmouth and I can supply the sales receipt. I’ve edited the title to clarify which model it is
  15. I bought this intending to get back into playing after a few years of not playing. Sadly I found I just don’t have the time. This is mint, absolutely as it came from the shop plus some dust. All the bits and bobs that come with it included plus a Levy’s leather strap. I don’t want to ship it but can meet half way. My postcode is PO9 £1000
