  1. I have the very same! Wouldn't sell it bloody nigh on perfect! GLWTS
  2. All very true thanks buddy! Quite surprised this is still here as when I was looking for one they were sold used for not much less and very quickly? Not least as this "New" I only had a quick noodle on it to hear the effects both mains and battery so can confirm it does everything Roland promise! Gaucho
  3. Hi, A very well balanced 10lbs 5ozs this one, so no fly-weight however not heavy IMO. Regards Gaucho
  4. Paddy, Through the East Uni 5 the difference is a very wide spectrum of both subtle and very strong tones which I think you'd struggle to find in the stock Lakland Pre, on the other Bass I have with Mk1's that has an Aguilar where the changes are much closer together, not as wide but so modern sounding with the top end being so spikey, which is great for soloing ( if that's your thing?) back to the East, pull up the boost knob, dial it up and presto very similar, however of the two there are many more settings/tones within the Uni 5 IMHO! Gaucho
  5. Sadly for me even an additional £250 still leaves me light on what this cost me buddy! I think we agree this punches way above my asking price! On the subject of Mk1 Barts I have a custom build with very early USA Mk1's and as with the Lakland once you add a quality Pre this opens them up completely IMHO! Gaucho
  6. Many thanks for the heads up buddy, but unfortunately I don't do FB...... bad experience there (too long a story for here!) Regards Gaucho
  7. No Problem, 8lbs & 12ozs knew this was my lightest Bass, but never re-weighed after fitting the uni-5. Gaucho
  8. Yep, someone will correct me if I'm wrong but most Laklands are, all I've owned have been. That'll be why the low B is so good!
  9. I understand completely😄 had several black basses over the years I used to gig one as my main Bass.....wasn't so fussy back then🤣
  10. Hi Chatters, Bought this on a whim as previously missed out on a few sold here, gave up then came across a brand new boxed and sealed one! Yes they were discontinued a while back, but this is the real deal! As brilliant as it is, it had less than an hours use then began gathering dust. Whereby sadly, I eventually realised I have no meaningful use for it. Does everything it says on the tin (box!) and extremely well indeed. Obviously has all what they come with: Strap, Mains leads, instructions etc. Totally unmarked and perfect, you won't find another like this! £180 cash, Meet/collection preferred, will post/courier at your cost/arrangement N/B despite the diminutive size it is deceptively heavy (sits in a proper made cabinet!) Gaucho
  11. Hi Chatters, Minor price drop, can't go any lower! £1150.00 One I never thought I'd part with: Totally mint Limited Edition 55-60 Vintage Custom! Mine from new. Lake Placid Blue (slight sparkle to the finish) with matching headstock, Laurel board with pearl block inlays, bound neck, was a limited run, so a special order. John East J Tone fitted with chrome knobs, fully screened/shielded. C/W Original Lakland control plate knobs & pots and newish Addario NYC's. Never been out the house. Absolutely superb modern/vintage sounding Jazz Bass and I really hate to do this, however circumstances dictate I have to let go of one of the collection. Cash is king, but willing to trade with a nice, but lesser value 5 or 6 string Bass plus cash? Local delivery or meet preferred, could courier at buyers cost/arrangement? Gaucho
  12. Hi Chatters, Sold Now Final price drop to £795 buys a Mint condition Black 55-01 with a lovely figured/slightly flamed Maple board, New John East Uni 5 fitted with black knobs, fully screened/shielded & original package instructions etc also C/W stock Lakland Pre. Very newish Addario NYC's, never gigged, home use only. Superb multi sounding Bass which IMO fits every genre. Love this to bits, however circumstances dictate I have to let go of one of the collection. Cash is king, but willing to trade with a nice, but lesser value 5 or 6 string Bass plus cash? Local delivery or meet preferred, could courier at buyers cost/arrangement? Gaucho
  13. Hi there, With the exception of the very top end basses i.e. BP35 and Nathan East all Yamaha's are made in Indonesia. PM sent re location. Gaucho
  14. I totally agree buddy, maybe I've under priced it🙄 Have to admit it is more than a few notches better than the price suggest! Gaucho
  15. Hi there, 9lbs 10ozs in old money, not ultra-light, but not to heavy especially as it balances very well. I find it ok and my lower spine is shot to bits! Gaucho
  16. This is my home use only spare amp which I almost let go on here a few years ago! Still in as new condition, original box and instructions. Absolutely excellent amp and to tempt you Basschatters I'm offering a BOGOF as part of my change around an equally unused Fender Rumble 15 probably run for a few hours total! So £200 of your English pounds gets you two perfect amps in minty condition from a smoke free home! Could be tempted to trade, maybe some additional cash on top? interested in a relatively lightweight 1 x 15 cab, 5 string basses preferably Jazz or P style, maybe I'll scratch that 6 string itch a bit further??? Finally would split the two amps....offers? Cash is king and collection or nearby meet preferred. Gaucho
  17. Yamaha TRB 1005 for sale as having a bit of a change around (as you do?) Bit of controversy to start, however I can honestly say this is better than the more revered Japanese TRB5 I had a few years back....in every department! Proper jack of all trades, so many tones you can tease out and the action is wonderful! Apart from a few tiny depressions on the rear of the body this is near mint! Definitely prefer outright cash sale, but could be tempted be another 5'ver, maybe I'd scratch that 6 string itch again?: cash my way or I may add some for the right Bass? Some specs for those unfamiliar: Scale Length: 35" (889mm) 24 fret 18/19mm string spacing at bridge Fingerboard: Rosewood Body: Quilted Maple top/Alder body Neck: Maple three piece Pickups: Alnico-V Hum-Canceled Preamp: 3 band Gaucho
  18. Hmm! Love these, a white version was on here a short while back which I so nearly bought! This sold for similar money, then reappeared £300ish dearer a few weeks later, then to my surprise turned up on Fleabay..... but is still there??? Gaucho
  19. Funkgod, Well I've no images of gigs showing the 136, however I've found the original invoice😇 12/11/1985 £250 paid.........serial number EC1046 Regards Gaucho
  20. I owned one of these, S/H from Allan Gordon many, many years ago! Could have been mine but I don't have the serial number to check🙄 Was brilliant and had casters fitted if i remember correctly. GLWTS Gaucho
  21. If it was I never spotted it🥴 be good to get confirmation Dan?
  22. I've a pair of these in red but 8ohms, best cabs I've ever owned!!!! As you say you'll not need anything else! GLWTS Gaucho
  23. Yes, back in the day I bought all manner of gear from Allan Gordons (Markhouse Road Walthamstow) and Holiday Music in Leytonstone. Rehearsals with various covers bands at Allan Gordons under the railway arches in Leytonstone....good old days! Gaucho
