Had a brainwave/fart for another mad project [to be revealed]
Brought some saddles and some machine heads from Mr Gut which has completely enabled the chaos to begin!
Brillant. Awesome. Perfect! What a legend.
Thank you. -
Bump for "teeth marks on the headstock"... also what strings are on that lil beast
?

My interest in the T16 is inversely proportional to the amount of interesting things i have…a boxed Flattley Bass Filtron is prolly the most worthy of any interest 😀

still haz? I have a mad project brewing
-
imho it will go quicker in Effects for sale, and I would have that, if I had not just got one there 🙂

I am not really a P-Bass man but if I was, who needs kidneys anyway, they seem very overrated but worth loads to the right buyer, apparently.

Just got this tiny Chase Bliss Faves for 40 quid baragainous!
The CBF, you know it could be said this possibly the most boring pedal in the world being just a switching unit but it’s turned the Meris Enzo from a mind-boggling mega struggle to a very usable slightly less mind-boggling enjoyable effort! Looking to level up to DMC or Morningstar with expression ped once i master the sonicenzosphere 🤘🏽-

Incoming EAE 0xEAE Bass Driver
Very hyped for this one, clanky Traynor inspired drive. Was already in the market for a Rusty Box or similar so this was a no brainer.
Nice! This sounds a lot like my COG Knightfall v.1 however their way more variable "booty slider" is just a cut/boost switch on the COG.

Instead of paying the gas bill, I bought this rather sexy Meris Enzo off of Jay, a perfect choice in every way. I mean who needs heating when you can synth noodle in a coat and hat?
Lovely guy to trade with, super helpful, packaging, postage, after care, etc. All impeccable.
10/10 cats would bang 🤪

I just got my grubby little mitts on this rather awesome pedal from Horayforanonyms above 😀
However, I may need to grow another brain to understand it.
Also probably gonna have to add an expression pedal and a little midi switcher for extra complexity and a deeper dive into its Gargantuan soundscape.

The scratch could be indicative of it already having been returned before for being a dud.
Perhaps B-Ringer only made like five hundred units, and are just passing them round via DPD 🤪

ebay just asked for my national insurance number.... so, it's back to trying to sell "local" meat in the local pubs for me.

OK as promised a short clip of the Behringer B-Tron followed by the Red Rocket Tron lll. I thought I'd stick with the same riff used above. The first thing i noticed was the B-Tron is compressed quite significantly in comparison with the Tron lll. Just a glance at the waveforms after I recorded the clips showed way more dynamic change within the Red Rocket recording. The B-Tron was very square by comparison.
Thanks, that's quite the difference in the tone at the mid range, RR Tron lll seems to have more of an open / breathy dynamic there.
I am glad the behringer unit is good though, you could say more "refined" in comparison I guess, I mean the RR T3 has the fonk, and can be a bit of an unruly untamed feral beast, and that's why I like it 🙂.
I have always been a bit suspect of behringer stuff, for some unknown reason, perhaps I was frightened by a behringer pedal when I was a child. -
I thought the tax thing was not applicable for "private" sales? [I have been wrong before]
"In general, selling personal items is not taxed if they’re below £6,000 and you’re not selling as part of a business."

Stew, out of interest, apart from having actual labeling on the buttons etc, how does it compare to the Redrocket clone, Tron III?

sold a thing
payed the postage from the total amount from the buyer
payed the protection racket fee from the total amount from the buyer which ebay add to your carefully thought out and reasonable pitch, elevating the cost of the item. You can revalue your item to absorb the ebay fee i guess, but "taking a hit" and "paying a fee" are pretty close imho.I re-started with the bay after a long stoppage, its reach is great, but its not the same place, FN Market Place is ok apart from no shows, but at least the scammers are direct and in your face. Gumtree, Friday Ad, post card in the shop window... everyone wants a slice of your sale.
I think a general lack of trust in ebay is the issue here. Like the insurance companies hiking the cost of fraud and shit drivers onto every one else, I am sure FleaBay are taking a fiscal hit with all the shenanigans on their platform and so, "Buyer Protection" is born. charge upfront on all transactions for any that go south.. its a spread bet, and remember the house ALWAYS wins.
Free to list. Not truly free to sell, some one has to pay. -
Just got a Korg Pitchblack from Steve. Great, exactly what I needed at a price I could actually afford.
Steve is gentleman and a most likely a scholar as well.
Thanks to Steve I can get back to playing the bass badly, but this time it will at least be in tune! 😂Thanks 🤘

Encore 1980's Red Copycaster. It was sitting there mocking me, with 2 to many strings on it. And so I decided to free it from guitar land.
Snagged some hardwear from @Jabba_the_gut on here [thank you] and set to work
ruiningfixing the Bass Guitar. My luthier skills are more akin to shed building, but I was determined to make a playable shorty for grins.
It plays "ok" surprisingly well really, and sounds like a weird strat, you can't dig in much, but for noodling at the open mic it works fine.
intonation was a chore, and whoever designed those bridge saddles needs shooting, they look the part, but eff me! setting them up was madness 🫠.
Cut out the body to get to the truss rod, who wants to take the bloody neck of to do that? idiots.
Big Hole where the wammy bar used to live, filled that up with real wood.
The Fat Strat and the Quarter Pounder pups sound pretty decent actually.
Its gonna need a string tree and the nut needs sorting, but I an happy and thats what counts. 😀
There, all better now, hanging out with it's mate.
Then I decided I was 19 again.
