To further improve my playing I’m working on a couple of Sean Hurley basslines, so I’m paying extra attention to the ghost notes and working on them separately, really enjoying it

Stone cold classic record. Check out the albums “Cabbage Alley” and “Fire on the Bayou” too.
Thanks very much Q, I’ll definitely do that

I’ve got one fitted to one of my jazzes which was an experiment really, I don’t play hard or dig in as they say but I quite like it, once you’ve found the right height which is close to the strings I can’t really think why you would want it adjustable

I’ve got a B2A, they really are a great bass, I’m guessing the FL is fretless lined, very cool, good luck Pete

I’m not familiar with those strings as I only use flats, but shouldn’t a new bass work with any strings, I certainly wouldn’t be talking it apart testing stuff, I’d ask for a return and new one, good luck

It’s just me and I’m sure it’s ok, but I wouldn’t put meths or lighter fuel anywhere near my basses, really scares me

Thanks for all your feedback, pals, it really helps a lot to a vintage bass ignorant like me
When you have a bit more info you could always ask here or in the vintage fenders thread , there’s a lot of knowledgeable people there who would be happy to assist if you needed, good luck

How do you do that?
I can't find any option to delete in 'My Attachments'
There’s a box on the right hand side of the pictures to tick and a bin comes up

Out of curiosity what are the pickups and neckplate dates
18” versus 15” cab for dub
in Amps and Cabs

To my ears 18s put out a much deeper bass especially at higher volume , I know it’s a bit different but reggae and dub sound systems only use 18s for that reason, I don’t know the maths but I’m guessing you wouldn’t get that chest thumping bass from anything smaller
