Frank Bello pedal up for grabs as per pic.
Power supply, stickers, setting samples for Rush, Maiden, Cheap Trick, Van Halen.
Excellent condition plenty sound samples on YouTube for a nose at. “Might” trade for a good set of Jazz bass pickups…..only drawback is posting as it can only be done on a Friday

Cheers I’ll have a nose around 👍

Had the Ric out last night again, currently it’s up for sale on here but I “think” it’ll be sellers remorse if it goes.
The problem…..I’m running a Frank Bello pedal & it seems to pickup every god damned bit of background noise using my Ashdown rig and Markbass combo, my other basses are fine (Spector) with very little noise if any.
I’ve done the cavity with copper tape which did help a good bit but is there something I’m missing bar flogging the Bello pedal ? Cheers for any ideas

MIJ Jazz in Maui blue. Arrived yesterday but only got around to testing it out today.
Fit & finish are superb, pickups fine normally I would change them but I’m going to dabble with a Frank Bello pedal and see how it goes with the Geddy settings that are covered in the Bello pedal, *tuners feel fine too* might stick a Hipshot extender on tho. All in very happy…..*famous last words 2 tuners really stiff in turning so looking for a set of HB10’s*

There’s a matte black Ric in the for sale section….🤭. I read a while ago about using glue that’s used for bicycle inner tubes/puncture repair does the trick 🤷♂️

Try looking in “Spector Fans” bud, they’ll put you in the picture between models….

Took possession of Chris’s Spector Euro today in a very easy going deal which he delivered to my door. Well chuffed & would certainly deal with him again…..BassChat as it should be 👍

Arthritis in both thumb bases here. I left it far too long in seeking medical help working away from home didn’t really help either but I tried all the natural remedies without success & ended up being prescribed co-codamol for the pain. Cortisone injections x 2 in both thumbs but didn’t take long before the pain was back. I wear tight wristbands pulled down towards the thumb bases tho & it does help

I do fancy one again but would need to try it first as i only kept the one i had in 80's for about 6mths and got bored with it.
Love that shape tho.

I used petrol, the stuff you stick in a Zippo lighter & a scuff pad. Sure the board was unfinished on a year 2000 Ray hence the grubby marks.

I wear a wristband on my right, plucking, hand. Stops me getting the tingles of carpal tunnel.
Hadn't occured to me it might help with my arthritic thumbs.I’ve tried fingerless compression gloves specific for arthritis but they don’t last that long with rounds on. I tried a couple of wristbands but these type are definitely a bit tighter compared to those terry towelling kind, I wear it just short of the thumb base.

I’ve tried but sold out only had the stacked knobs

I “might” see what’s left in the sporran if one comes up for grabs….after yourself obviously 👍

Definitely the best thing this year was a pair off wristbands…..having arthritis in the base of my thumbs helps a great deal I only use the one on my fretting hand but it’s a god send.
The worst or disappointed more like was the preamp in my Stingray Special it just didn’t have any balls BUT John East came to the rescue with his 3 band eq that’s based around a late 70’s eq when the mid/boost is in the detent position….clever stuff.

Wouldn’t mind one myself

Funnily enough I read he only used the P pickups with the J’s turned off with that version. So it makes you kinda wonder why Spector didn’t just dump the J’s put his signature as it is and stick the crowns in.

Crowns & Hill’s signature on the rear of the headstock would be braw,

Spector Ian Hill Signature bass 50th anniversary for £2k. Great price but the JP inlay is a bit of an eyesore. Sorry, JP fans 😉

Definitely not me at 58, I started jamming with 2 old school mates roughly 6 months ago but family issues got in the way which knocked it on the head. Definitely upped my game at the time and really can’t wait until we start hopefully after the festive season is oot the windae. Our aim is open mike nights…no big deal, stress or issues just 3 old mates having a good time
