  1. After I got confirmation of the Manchester gig being cancelled, I was skeptical about "logistical reasons" being the cause. Hopefully they can sort things out.
  2. Papa Was A Rolling Stone is the first one that springs to mind for me
  3. Same here - wanted to learn Smoke on the Water, but my teacher decided to give me something a bit more interesting.
  4. A little delayed on the "one in, one out" policy, but as I got a new addition a couple of months ago, my JB-2 Tribute is up for sale. Specs stolen from the G&L website: CONSTRUCTION: bolt-on SCALE: 34" PICKUPS: 2x G&L Alnico single coil pickups BODY WOOD: Swamp Ash (translucent & burst finishes) NECK WOOD: Hard-Rock Maple with Maple fingerboard NECK WIDTH AT NUT: 1 1/2" NECK RADIUS: 12" NECK PROFILE: medium C FRETS: 21 medium jumbo, nickel TUNING KEYS: Traditional open-back BRIDGE: Leo Fender-designed G&L Saddle-Lock™ ELECTRONICS: One volume control for each pickup, master tone It really is in good condition, only gigged once or twice, mainly just bedroom practicing. Can ship in the UK via courier, or local collection if you happen to be around the Lancaster area.
  5. Pretty much of all of "Sam Stone", but especially "Eased his mind in the hours that he chose, While the kids ran around wearing other peoples' clothes"
  6. Hi! Alex here, been lurking for a few months trying to get some of the lingo and also getting some GAS over various things in the "For Sale" sections (think I'm getting the hang of it, the lingo that is, not the resisting stuff for sale). Also quite interested in reading up on the theory sections, trying to expand my knowledge a bit beyond the same hand shapes and licks. Been a bedroom player for a few years, but am hoping to get a few pub gigs/open mics under my belt this year...I can think of worse new year's resolutions.
